In maple or real life. What do you do when a begger comes up to you and asks for money? Maple : If i accually laugh,then i pay them what they ask for or 10-50k xD Real Life : I don't give them anything b/c on one occasion someone said he had to feed his family and i gave him $5.Then i followed him and he went to subway and got a $5 foot long and started eating it himself >.> http://i564.photobucket.com/albums/ss84/sw33t_bitt3r/Maple0036.jpg

Yeah, I once gave a hobo that asked for money 5 dollars, and he bought some beer with it, the next time he asked, i just told him to ask someone else for beer money In maple, same thing as you pretty much, if they have a funny enough story, i give them 100k, if they just say mesos plz, i cancel, and for the really rude ones, who just trade me and say, give me mesos or an item, i put in 2 mesos [so i can say, yeah, i gave you 2 mesoS, you asked for mesoS, never mentioned how many] and i press trade xD

If they just want money quickly and that's it, then why should we give them our hard earned mesos? On the contrary, if they put time and sincerity into asking, then of course I'll put in some mesos.

Well I don't play anymore, but when I did I would put up a few hundred million mesos, and just pretend to go afk and watch them sit there begging me to hit accept.

IRL, often the beggars take whatever money they give you and go waste it on alcohol, cigs, or drugs. Why I never give my money to randoms on the streets. If I were homeless, I'd never be able to swallow up my pride that much and go out and beg. I'd be searching for any job possible. I have little respect for people that are always homeless, in bad situations.

I don't give money for either cases. But I do offer a way out of their hole, either by directing a person to a food bank and such or offer advice of how money actually works in the world. In real life I would give them $5 or so idc if it's for their family or not the beggar is poor and has no money. In game I give about 100k+ and once I even gave a nooby Evan girl 10mill for her mount she spent the whole day begging for mesos for her mount lol so I just gave it to her cuz u know I'm a niice guy ^_^

Quite a few homeless people have no control over being homeless. I'm not sure about other countries, but the U.S. is one place where a lot of veterans can't get the help they need if they suffer emotional/mental stress from being in a war. You'd be surprised just how much medical and psychological help costs. So given the fact they can't get the help they need, they can't get a job, which means they can't afford a place to live. Then you have the few that are forced into the situation, as I was. You lose your job because of a layoff, can't afford to pay your rent and are kicked out of the house. You can't find another job fast enough so you have to drop out of high school as well to try and find full time work. You can't find full/part time work because of the recession, so you remain homeless. Luckily, I had a few friends hunt me down and help me pick myself back up. Finally, you have the ones that were scarred for life with traumatizing situations and have no where to turn, because people with opinions like yours look at them as "unworthy". Do you even understand why most of them drink? To help them forget about their situation, even if it is for just a moment. If you have the opportunity, I encourage you to go and socialize with a few homeless people. Learn how they got there, see if you could help them get on their feet. Otherwise, if people continue to shun them, there is no chance of them becoming "better" in society's eyes.
