When I try to play online, I join my appropriate server and click Battle.net. But what happens next is that they say the server might be invalid. Help Please!

It's because WC3 games are peer-to-peer and the "server" you are trying to connect to has either a firewall up or disabled ports. It basically means the host player of that match doesn't know how to properly host a game.
