Is there like a damage formula for the damage that monsters do to players and a formula for how your weapon defense affects it

EDIT: NVM misleading title.

GunDelHel"Damage Reduction" is the term for when a player with a lower-level attacks a monster of a higher-level--and because of the level difference, the damage is reduced. The defense formula--depends on what class you are, what level you are, and how much def you have. Last I checked, the base variables going from classes with the strongest defense to the weakest is: Beginner, Mage, Pirate/Bowman, Thief, Warrior. Yes--you just read this right. Assuming the same Def, no buffs, a Beginner takes less physical damage than a Warrior. Be glad you have buffs, Warriors. The magic defense formula--isn't worth mentioning unless you're a mage.
GunDelHel : "Damage Reduction" is the term for when a player with a lower-level attacks a monster of a higher-level--and because of the level difference, the damage is reduced.
To calculate this " Damage Reduction " simply use this formula: Mob level - your level = % of how much your damage is reduced. For example, let's say you were a level 120 Warrior/Magician/Thief/Bowman/Aran/Evan/CK and wanted to check how much is your damage reduced against Zakum which is level 140, so: 140-120 = 20%. Meaning your damage is reduced by 20%.

Also, 3 weapon defense = 1 damage less taken from physical attacks. It's the same for magic defense.

GunDelHel@AnasF That's the OLD physical def formula from like 3 years ago. The new one is much more useful. By the old Def formula, my Noblesse should be taking 400~500 touch damage from Lord Pirate. But, I take 1s. Yes, 1s.
