To people who can't open maple~

People who can't log into maple after the v87 patch do the following : Go to your nexon folder and rename your GameLauncher. I renamed mine to GameLauncher[Test] and it worked~ Log in as you always do No more logging onto the website to log into maple. Also, i think that the GameLauncher renamed or not has to be in your nexon folder not desktop or wherever it is. When you have done the above and nothing pops up when you double click gamelauncher, go to task manager ( Cntrl+Alt+delete) , click on the process tab and see if there is a Maplestory running. IF there is click on it and end process. Then try again PS: i think this is only for Vista D: sorry if it doesn't work ): NEW~ KEEP ON RENAMING IT ( GameLauncher) UNTIL IT WORKS! EVEN NEWER ~ Redownload maple from the website and install it. If it doesnt work, rename the game launcher~ try the following rename luncher go to compatibility and unchek run as admin ( right click ,properties compatibility tab) then clik the luncher BUT DO NOT RUN AS ADMIN ~ vipmvp123 Ty vipmvp123 for helping ;D Sorry if its messy ):

Worked for me! Simply, keep changing the name of " GameLauncher " to RANDOM names that do nothing with maple and keep clicking it and eventually it will work. I use Win7 64 bit, please people try this method now.

i did that, and after i clicked play game on the website, it started downloading a patch......

i wasn't able to check the Run as Administrator box as it was greyed out. What worked for me was to move all the files in my maplestory folder out to my nexon folder, and renaming my gamelauncher with random letters. Then i started it without logging in to the website and it worked. ^__^

idk if its the computer or not but i cant download the patch at all on my labtop (vista)....ill try to see if this idea works cause im currently getting it to work on my desktop (also vista). if these patches get harder to download....i have a feeling less ppl are going to play.

Wow, I use Windows Vista 64bit and was just about to give up because I've tried everything. I got the msg "MapleStory stopped working" when I tried to launch the game from the website or gl.exe so even though I didn't think renaming the GameLauncher.exe file to random letters would change anything for me I decided to try it anyway. Now it works like a charm, if some of you still can't get your game to work and haven't tried this, you should. Thank you~
