[/quote] PROBLEM I've looked at other threads but still I have a problem of clicking start game followed by ~5seconds of loading then nothing happening. 1. I've patched it manually from v.86, which didn't solve the problem. 2. I've uninstalled maple and reinstalled v.86 and auto patched it. 3. I've uninstalled maple, downloaded v.87 on the official site and installed it. 4. I've tried http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/1564960/1/28303708still_getting_stuck_at_applyingmaplestoryexe.html#28303708, which is replacing my maplestory.exe with the one provided in the link. 5. I've searched in the processes for a maplestory.exe which was not present. 6. I've renamed some files in the maplestory folder to run as admin and unchecked compatibility mode. I run on Windows 7, with a 64 bit operating system; if any more information is needed, please ask. Thank you for any help.

Okay, now I uninstalled .87 and installed .86 back to manually patch again; afterwards I went to properties and selected run as admin for the privilege box and applied. When I run the icon, I get the error: Themida Cannot find 'iijl15.dll'. Please, re-install this application. Did I make it worst? -_-

I had the same problem as you until I figured out the solution :D. Go to task manager then go to processor and find maplestory.exe and end task it. Then after redownloading it click on the website and it should work. Note: I have Windows 7 with 64-bit

google that iijl15.dll and download it... once downloaded put it in your maplestory folder

Still not working, apparently I did have the iijl15.dll in my folder even though it said I didn't. Well now I've completely uninstalled everything. Can someone lead me through what steps to do. I have: V86 V87 V87 Patcher

this is happening with me as well and when i go to the task manager, Maplestory.exe IS running under processes, but the game is not for some strange reason...

This worked for me and i had the exact same problem as you. What i did was i created a few folder and moved it to the desktop. Then i downloaded the 87 patch into the folder. Then i started maple used the gamelauncher. And clicked "start game" not "go to website" or w/e it said. And it worked. really hope that helps.

[/quote] So you were using v86, downloaded v87 patch into a folder that you newly created on the desktop. Did you run the patch? or just start the game from v86 gamelauncher. Because if you didn't run the patch, I'm not sure leaving it in the folder would do anything.. P.S. I downloaded my v.87 patcher on desktop without it being in a folder. I'm patching manually (again) after reinstalling v.86. EDIT: and now it's stuck at maplestory.exe for the past ~5-10 minutes.

no i was using v87 and going onto the website and using the gamelauncher, bu neither worked. Soooooooooo i just downloaded the patch into the folder. When you are downloading the patch it gives you an option on where to download it, then just select your new folder then wait for it to download and it should work.

I got it working! So my computer is windows xp service pack 3 i had ms v86. now if you go on ms site it says to patch it by urself so you click on the link to the patcher for v87. then download it, save, and open in your nexon/maplestory folder. it should patch by itself and when it is done click play. it will redirect you to the ms site and you can start game from there. if the site does not work for you. go into the ms folder and click on the gamelauncher.

Well, the closest I've managed to do was: v.86 install -> manual v.87 saved to desktop -> run manual -> end task when it reached maplestory.exe because it stopped -> ran it from site (GAMEGUARD LAUNCHED ZOMG) -> autopatched -> clicked play -> msg showed up to either go to web or start game -> I started game -> nothing happened -> I went to website and started game -> ~5s load and nothing (again -.-)
