My spoken word is like a Voltron Sword. Since we don't really have a music section split into categories, I sort of figured, "Why not?" So here we are. Post who you listen to. Post what you think about what others listen to. If you're going to post your favorite artist, please be prepared to defend him. No, this is not one of those, "OMG WHO IS THE BEST ALIVEZ EMINEMZ? WAYNE? GUCCI? DRAKE MANG? SOULJA BOI?ONE?." This is a legit hardcore bring it harder than Nas brought it to Jay-Z with Ether, Hip-hop/Rap thread. Can you dig it? You can go 80s if you want, pure underground, Will Smith(Parents just don't understand!), Foreign Rappers(Japanese, Australian, Brits, Indians, etc etc etc!) None of that screamo cover of rap songs though. You will make me super sad. Hell, you can even debate the differences between hip-hop and rap! Hip-Hop/Rap Various Definitions: -Hip-hop focuses on the beat/melody while Rap focuses on the lyrics. -Rap is a verb, Hip-Hop is the style of music. Note to Basilers: Dear Basil, I invite anyone with previous misconceptions about these two genres to take a look at the following music list. Hip-hop is actually... kind of nice... I don't really like rap, though. I used to be an Atmosphere whore back in my days, still kind of am but not so much anymore. ?uestlove is pretty nice.
