| So I have a F/P mage I feel like restarting since adventurer rings will come out as well as the balance patch. I'll be giving the critical ring to my character right now, so I was wondering.. If I'm remaking my Mage, would the poison brace build for 2nd Job still beat the new fire arrow mobbing skill? Or should I just max both and leave a couple off slow or something, cause I don't think I'll be getting mp eater since it seems pretty useless (or I could say not as great as drain works for other jobs)? I don't know exactly if a mobbing fire arrow would make much of a training difference than poison brace training. |

| FA might be good for CPQ and Nett's. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure Poison training is still fastest. |

| Max FA first for CPQ and then PB. With maxed PB u can go to twisted jesters after CPQ for easy lvling, and I wouldn't bother with MP eater, maxing slow and meditation would be best |

| 1 tele @ 30, Max poison first because you can Jester for the fastest experience starting from 40. Then max FA so you can start taking multiple Jesters out at once, then max slow, and then teleport, then mediation, etc etc. Everything should be or near maxed besides MP eater, leave that at 3. |

| You don't need to leave Meditation, Just MP Eater and have 18 Slow. I have a lvl 69 FP Wizard in bMS. I'm getting like 31~33%/hour poisoning DTs and 20~22% hour 2 hitting Kappas with FA. I have an above average matk for bMS standards, that would be GMS average (535 unboosted matk, that's about 3.8k ~ 5.3k FA with 20 matk potions). I know GMS gets Jesters, that are better than DTs, but there's also Slimies, that are mobby and have a good exp per HP ratio. I'd say Poison is better from 4x 'til mid 6x and both are about the the same until a good level of mist. Poison requires a lot less funds (I have like 250m worth of equips, but I'd be leveling at the same speed as if I only had a clean bathrobe, 8 speed shoes, speed pill and icarus 2 or red whip) and fire has the potential to become faster, but is heavily fund dependant. |

|
DmanDaMage : Off topic ~ @TS: How are you a 123 TB? o-o
For basilmarket, it only detects the main class from ranking (warrior, bowman, magician, thief, pirate). From there on, you can just choose whatever the job it is. For him, he had the choice of: buccaneer and thunderbreaker. On topic: As everyone else has said, hybrid. Choose poison or fire first, depending on how you'd like to train. Poison will be a pain training from 30-40 I'm guessing (not entirely sure, never made an F/P), since you won't be poison training until 40, and you'll be stuck with magic claw. However, fire arrow can be used quite early, too. But once you start using poison, it will beat fire arrow's training by a lot. So if you can be patient enough to go through the levels to 40, go poison. But for the fact that you mentioned that you're making it for the ring, and transferring it to your 'character right now,' which I assume is your buccaneer, that means you're probably going to get to 50 and stop forever/a while. In that case, I'd go fire arrow, since it's more well balanced for training rates, and the 10 levels you'll get from training with poison just isn't worth it. |
it depends on how the mobbing move for FA works if its like Iron arrow yes then FA would be good in CPQ but only in certain rooms. (1-4) if its like blizzard(sniper) then ehhh. no clue. |

| Thanks guys. So I'll leave out MP eater because I've never even seen it useful when I was a mage, and I'll max both FA and PB, with 18 slow. I want meditation because, well I need damage that won't come from a pot. :P I'll pretty much be going MDT with poison brace right? Maybe TJ's too? I just hate how TJ is like gallos... KS 101. I'll probably go max out FA first since I haven't CPQed in 2 months on my current char. |
