What maple items should a beginner get?

So yeah what maple items should beginners get? I have like 10k leaves, and few boxes left. And another thing. Where do I find gages?

gage's are from cassandra for 700 leaves. I recommend getting all lvl 70 equips.

To get the Maple Gage, it's actually 800 leaves. Cassandra is found in every town too, by the way.

They're only obtainable from Cassandra I thought.

Cape- Level 70 one is the best of both Icarus Capes 2 and 3 and gives a nice 23 defense. Trying to get 6+ STR on it would be best, although if you really need to, you could add more defense (dirt cheap), DEX, or HP (not recommended). Shield- The Maple Shield is expensive and unless you have super funding to godly it up, you'd be better with a Panlid or a 2-handed weapon. Helmet- The level 90 one gives 60ish defense and 4/4/4/4 to your stats. These are great for unfunded Beginners that cannot get a zhelm, although overall I think Lord Pirate's Hat is superior, thanks to having more defense and a speed/jump bonus. You just need to get thru 30-200 PQs (depending on what level hat you want) Weapons- We can only use maple swords, and I don't really suggest them unless you need the accuracy badly. The Soul Singer is a decent weapon though at 4x if you don't want to spend over 20m on a Glowing Whip and the Maple Glory Sword is one of the strongest common 1-handed swords. Personally I would only use if you are in dire need of accuracy. Earrings- They give minor HP boosts, nothing too special. If you can, pump more HP into them. So in summary: -Maple Hat until Zhelm or for good if unfunded -Maple Cape especially if you can get some good STR, DEX, or defense on it -Maple Earrings for show or if you can throw some extra HP on it -Maple Shield for looks or if nicely scrolled -Maple Swords for looks or in dire need of accuracy
