Original thread by a user who can only be described as Amazing. His thread's over here. Heya Basil, do you suffer from back pain, leg pain, hand cramps, and projectile vomiting? Are you tired of peeling potatoes slowly with that nasty ol' peeler? No? Too bad! HOWEVER, if you live in the area of the Bay..Area, then here's the thread for you. Fancy meeting a fellow Basiler? Then sign the hell up. How? Obviously the most efficient means of transport in the Bay Area is the Bay Area Rapid Transit (system). That's BART for short. For those not familiar, it's a lightning speed train system that costs less than 5$ to get from Richmond to Fremont. It runs just about every 15 minutes, so here's a map of where it goes. If you don't have a car or your parents don't want to drive you, use the BART. I use it on a regular basis, so I can guarantee both its safety and speed; odds are I'll be using it to get to where we need to go. It's probably a better idea to actually meet at the BART station and then take a bus to the proper location. Where? So far San Francisco seems to be most voted for spot. At the very least, I think this should be where we spend most of our time. We can go to Westfield, Pier 39, and other random spots around San Francisco easily. Any other ideas? If you're coming, feel free to make a suggestion and/or vote! Why? Well why not? You get to meet some fellow Basilians with the same interests and views as you (warning: Religious views may not coincide). It's happened in SoCal, Canada, and a buncha other weird places, so why not here too? When? August 14th or 15th. You guys pick, but this date is definitely the one we wanna use. What! Make sure to bring: 1) Cell Phone - Just in case I turn out to be a creepy kidnapper, you'll want one of these on hand so you can phone for help. Also, if you're being dropped off by family, these are useful for procuring rides. 2) Cash - Preferably $20-$50 for food/drinks/thieves/whatever. We might go to a restaurant (or a fast food chain), so bring some moolah. 3) Some form of entertainment - While it is rude to have your headphones in when someone's talking, we might also get bored. Bring something to play with just in case. Who? I'll see if any of my friends that are girls that live in the north california area want to join. Most of them used to play Maple.
