ok so i just finished watching this movie on blu-ray... and i can honestly say... i absolutely hated this movie. i read some reviews after, and i couldnt believe my eyes, i couldnt believe how people could actually give an A+ to this movie! during the whole story, it just felt soo slow to me, and wehn i thought something was going to happen, it didnt, and that happened through-out the whole movie. and the ending of the movie...it felt like they had to end it SOMEHOW...and had this really crappy ending, having the killer guy die accidently. anyways, i dont know if there was supposed to be a message in all of that or w/e, but the trailers TOTALLY threw me off...i thought it was going to be aa thriller/suspense heavy movie, but it was some freaky weird super-natural, and i hate those types of movies... so w/e discuss what u guys felt about it and i look down on ALL of you guys who loved this!

Read the book, absolutely hated it. Being killed by an icicle is a stupid way to die for a murdering child molester. Besides, the part where she takes over the emo goth girl's body temporarily and has sex with the Indian guy...? (this was in the book, dunno if they had that in the movie) Overall the plot had so much potential up to that point. I had to put it down because I was laughing so hard. What was the author thinking? Really.

the book is much better. the movie is slow because the storyline in the book was rather explicit so they couldn't explain everything.

The book was pretty good, the movie left out a massive chunk, though. I guess it would have been boring and way too long to include it all.

I was hoping that Marky Mark was going to viciously beat him to death. I wasn't pleased that her bones were swallowed up by that sinkhole either. That movie was lame sauce.

I didn't think it was /that/ slow, but I guess I've dealt with worse pacing in my life. Plus I prefer slow over too fast anyways. The ending was good in terms of the killer being "punished" but it just wasn't in a way I felt was appropriate. Didn't really like the supernatural aspects of the movie I will admit, but overall it was a decent movie.
