Anthropology or Sociology?

Yayyy so tomorrow I'm going to register for my courses. A dilemma though. For those of you who took anthropology or sociology, what did you think of the course? Which one is more interesting and easier? This is a college level course by the way. Intro to Anthropology and Intro to Sociology.

A lot of my friends have taken Anthro and didn't really care for it. I personally don't care for either, but the general consensus at my college is that Intro Soc is easier and a bit more interesting

I prefer Sociology over Anthropology, but that's just me.

sociology sounds more interesting to look into than humanity.

There's not much of a different. Anthropology studies more broad stuff like cultures and human movement. Sociology studies more practical things like crime, poverty, etc. Some universities have a anthropology and social sciences department that is combined. IMO, if you are taking an intro course, then sociology is more useful because it helps you understand real life issues at a more direct and pertinent level.

Personally, I didn't have to take Anthropology 101 (or whichever the first course is) but I had to take Anthropology 230 (Culture & Crime). It was an interesting course but I had a bad experience with the professor. I prefer sociology because it is a great way to understand more about the society and how gender roles are socially constructed. This can help you if you encounter any genders class, ethnics class, etc.

Both are good. I took a course called Socio-Cultural Anthropology before, it was a really good course.
