I hate satellite internet!

Guys I need help I have satellite internet and it's just terrible. I live in a rural area where dsl and cable are not available. However, satellite internet just makes playing MS completely not enjoyable. I like the game but I haven't played for about 6 months because of my isp. Problems I experience are things such as: extreme lag when trying to pick up items (impossible to spam loot), lag when using skills, lag when registering damage to an enemy, lag when registering damage to my hp, etc. etc. It makes me feel extremely handicapped and not even worth it to play. Im not good with computers and internet, but i talked to some guys from the geek squad in best buy and they said the reason satellite internet is so bad for gaming is because every time I'm trying to do something in the game such as attack, pick up an item, etc. a signal has to be sent from the game to the satellite, and then back from the satellite to the game, which results in latency issues. My computer is very fast and powerful, its definitely not the problem. My question: is there any alternative to satellite internet for someone living in a rural area? And also, would dial up even be better than satellite internet for playing MS? I know the internet would be slower in general but would dial up eliminate the latency issues? Dial up probably would be no better overall, and if you don't have any way to have cable or DSL internet I think satellite is the only thing you've got.

According to wiki, dial up latency times are about 400ms or more. Both dial-up and satellite connections have very high latencies.

Trust me thats exactly what im going through. Imagine pressing the button to use meso explosion, only to have the mesos blow up 5 seconds after the monster walks away...

I'm really sorry (I feel your pain about slow connections), but unfortunately you may have no choice but to avoid online games. Some satellite providers offer a (higher priced, naturally) faster "business class" Internet service that might be better for gaming, but other than that you have essentially no control over the connect speed available to you.
