Gaviota VS. Flamethrower

I have a lvl 40 gunslinger that i made, and was looking through the Outlaw guides, they said i should leave flamethrower at 11 and max gaviota. Should i do that, or should i max Flamethrower for the flamethrower+ Ice Splitter Combo. Last question what are the prices of the lvl 70 bullets, elemental bullets (ice and fire bullets) in Scania and Demethos. Thank you for all your help, and lastly write if you have a Gunslinger, Outlaw, or Corsair and write down if they are fun to play.

After reading a lot of guides, Most suggest that gaviota stays at 15 and flamethrower at 26. (You will not have enough sp to max flamethrower no matter what because most of those skills at 3rd job are prerequisite for 4th job skills.) Scania pricing: vital bullets lv70 are close to 1mil now. Prices have been inflating. Glaze capsules are around 2mil because they drop easily, blaze capsules are expensive cause they're rare. I've seen one sold for 12mil. Slingers are ridiculously weak from lv10 - lv70. I've got godly eqs on me but a sin throwing tobi can easily outdamage me. Having low damage makes you unwanted in pqs, scammed in cpq. As a result, you stay at that level forever. Unless you go out and train, which takes a lot lot longer than other classes because of the low damage AGAIN! So i'd say damage hoars will never bear with it for 120 levels. But on the other hand, they're fun at times. My favourite skill so far is recoil, which is like a mini flash jump. Also, can anyone explain if gaviota affects airstrike's damage at all? meaning, does lv30 gaviota make your airstrike stronger than an airstrike with lv15 gaviota? Thanks.

I think that Gaviota hits higher at max level because in the skill description it does more damage. Gaviota Summons Gaviota, who's trained to throw a grenade at monsters. The summoned Gaviota will seek a monster, and when it finds one, it'll toss the grenade and disappear. Active Skill Level 15: MP -15; attack rate 330, for 20 seconds Level 30: MP -20; attack rate 450, for 30 seconds Seeing this we know that there is a 120 attack rate difference and a 36% increase in damage for a 50% increase in seconds of effect for the mear cost of a 50% increase in MP usage.

I was asking about airstrike tho. Since airstrike from 4th job summons the same bird, i wonder if gaviota level would affect airstrike's damage.. As airstrike is one of the highest damaging skill.

Don't max gav, get flamethrower to 26. You'll rarely use gav once you get airstrike :O
