Can't play at even channels.

It is as strange as it sounds- I can't play at even channels (2, 4, 6, 8.....) because I lag so badly at those. However, it happens on my high level characters which have a full BL, guild, gear and etc. It does not happen on any of my mules. I have been having this issue for a couple of months already, since we changed our internet speedline from 1.5 MB to 5 MB. I tried to call the internet company and we checked everything, they said there shouldn't be any problem. My OS is Windows XP (Even though I consider changing it to Windows 7) and I have 2.75 GB of RAM. Does anyone know if it's solvable?

Probably along the lines of what I did back when I could not play on 7, or 8. Most likely, your firewall or antivirus asked your permission to allow or decline the channels, and you declined. Or possibly, it decline them on itself. Worth looking into; what is your antivirus/firewall? EDIT: Oops, sorry. Thought you were blocked blocked =/. Always a possibility of your firewall having to do with it, however.

this is happening to some of my buddies, but most of them are from other contries (aka, not in USA). apparently its just a problem that nexon has with foriegn ip addys

@TornUpPages- Avira Anti Virus. @greenfuwa- I've been having this issue for a couple of months already. @tigerlorde- I'm not from the USA, but the thing is... I've been playing Maple for over 4 years. I started having this issue since a few months ago.

[/quote] Well, I've been using Linux for the past 2 years, so my knowledge of antivirus is not at it's sharpest, lol. Open the anti virus, anything about blocked programs/untrusted programs?

yeah, same situation with my buddies, they didnt have any lag till nexon quit letting foriegn ip addresses make new accounts (like what, 7-8 months ago?)

you can try to remove everything from maplestory and install it agian.

Is it specific maps? Or is it even in towns? I know that I lag consistently in maps outside towns (where monsters freeze but I don't)
