What's Wrong with People Selling 2x Buffs

What's wrong with people selling 2x buffs? Every so often I run into someone that says "you need to pay too." Do they not understand that they are selling a PARTY buff? A buff that, y'kow, buffs a PARTY? A party isn't one person, it's a PARTY. Can a party be one person? Yes. Can a party be 5 people? Yes. You are selling a PARTY buff. It really blows my mind. How many people are in the party does NOT change ANYTHING for the seller. It does not make it use more rep, cost money, etc. It's no different�it's completely irrelevant. So why are they charging more for an irrelevant fact? People have no common sense anymore. Next thing you'll see... "S> 2x buff." "I'll buy!" "Okay! So it's 2m to buff your party. Oh, but your party can only be one person. It's 2? Then it's 2m for each. Oh, and since you're wearing a red hat, it's an extra 2m. Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't notice the red shoes too! That's an extra..." Honestly. People literally make no sense anymore. Next thing you know, car salesman will be charging more if you have kids. Why? Because you'll be using the seats you're paying for. Outrageous. Simply outrageous.

Not really. 3500 rep is a lot. And people usually give discounts if there are more people. They'll make it cheaper per person but ultimately give themselves a great revenue. In the end everyone wins. But it is kind of dumb to charge the original price if there are more than 2 people.

Because it's unfair if one person pays and nobody else doesn't? You can't just go, "Oh, this person is buying 2x from another guy! I'll tag along and get free 2x!"

Costs 3500 rep. 5m for a party buff, to buff a party. Costs 3500 rep. See the difference? I don't. I see a mark-up on the same wholesale price. Stores don't charge more for something that costs the same. Why? Because it costs the same. So realistically, it should cost the same. Did that confuse you? It should, BECAUSE IT STILL IN THE END COSTS THE SAME!

If you have such a problem with this dont buy it, When I do sell(usually I just give away to friends or guildies) I charge per person also.

[/quote] Lets take an example. A buff is selling for 4m. There are for 4 people in the party. 4m (the cost) divided by 4 (the amount of people) equals 4m (the amount each person pays). Oh, wait, no. That actually equals 1m. See the fail?

[/quote] What TS is complaining about is that sellers arbitrarily charge prices regardless of how many are buying, regardless of the original asking price, example: "S> Party 2x 2m" --> *party of 1 buys it, 1 person is charged 2 mil*, *party of 4 buys it, 4 people are charged 2 mil... EACH* Correct way: *party of 4 buys it, 4 people are charged 500k each*.

Because more people are benefiting from it.. If I was to sell, I'd charge 2mil for one person, and then another 1mil extra for addition people. It's like going on a bus. Even though it's heading in one direction, it's not like we can all just get on it for free. It's not like it costs more or less to go to the destination. It still gets there. Regardless, we STILL have to pay to get on the bus. Same with anything else. Going to the zoo, the animals are still there. They still do everything normally, but it doesn't mean we can just go in for free since one person already paid.

Oh I see. People are still going to get more money regardless if they charge the same for each person though. Most people I know don't care if they're paying the same to get 2x, cause they're willing to buy it for the price anyway.

You also equally fail at business. As well, you fail at life. I don't buy it from people like you (yes, people like you). The only problem is people don't say anything until you've partied, paid, and then they start going "WTF YOU ALL NEED TO PAY WTF I'M NOT BUFFING" and then quit the party and leave with the money.

This is why it's better to make your own rep mules. It may be time-consuming, but in the end you don't have to deal with these people who rip others off. I met a greedy person like this in my guild alliance. He was selling the buff and I decided to buy it, but then he changed his mind when no one else decided to buy. He only sold when there was a full party.
