Energy Drain or Shockwave?

Which would end up helping me in the long run? Energy drain saves pots, but shockwave is powerful D:

Drain for sure. Shockwave is ALMOST useless.

Drain by far. Shockwave gets replaced in 4th job.

Wait I have a question, even though shockwave does get replaced in 4th, isnt being a Brawler all about combos and wouldnt another main attack just add to it? I know its pointless, but just to mess around with. Flame shield on

Drain is much more efficient than shockwave. @above Yes it is about combos but its about comboing the most efficient skills. Shockwave, as previously stated, is almost, if not completely useless.

Leave Shockwave at level 12 and max Drain plus whatever second job skill you wouldn't max.

my suggestion is don't get shockwave at all.. Its such a waste of points. I would go back and have 0 shockwave and max dash, barrel, mp, dbl shot, anything but shockwave lol.

I used csb -> blast or csb -> ssk untill bubble charged at himes and it was great. Max drain for sure so you can spam that and tank a boss and that will be one of your strongest attacks for a while.... I think drain is still my strongest attack even now...

[/quote] I prefer having 1 point into Shockwave just to look cool in Transformation when I'm bored, rather than a permanent-chance-of-extremely-accidentally-activating-dash, or double shot. Shockwave is much too slow, plus when you're in air, you can still be hit. >.> Lastly, it's, like many other people had said, easily replaced in 4th job by Dragon Strike (and in the next Balance Patch in GMS, Dragon Strike's speed increases a bit).

well dash for some reason people think its like the Aran move where you slide across the screen, its not. You hold the arrow down and get a haste effect untill the arrow is let go. So it technically will not harm you at all to get max dash. Dbl Shot wont activate unless you have a gun equipped. And yea i agree probably get 1 shockwave just so you can do something while in transform.

Drain is so good for bossing. Just stand on monster and drain so touch dmg and drain=pwn
