95atk 10str Karstan vs 129atk 14str diestra

4thJobSeries was right! i trained for 30 mins with each. the diff was 5k more xp on the diestra. im gonna make an arcglaive.

A 95/10 Karstan should do about the same DPM as a 119/10 Diesra. You'll need about 106/6 Arcglaive to do the same DPM as that Diesra (which is easy since a 100%ed Arcglaive is 109/5 and also has 5 Speed). I like how I'm mentioned f3. I learned most of my stuff about Weapon Speed from Taleko in the Warrior Forums, though for Arans it's even more extreme since faster hits also raise damage faster due to Combo Ability and Combo Critical.

I have a 114/8 Glaive.... Is that better than a 127/? Diesra? Or is the Diesra better? I personally think that Diesra is better for bossing...

I use a 95 Karstan for training and my 140 Diesra for bossing. Works out well <3

Someone with equips like a 10 att wg and 2 att cape compared to someone with a 20 att scg and 10 att pac makes a significant difference in how much wep. att you need to compensate for the speed change

I try to the best I can to give an accurate comparison so I can help whoever posted.

my xperiment shows that both are the same. a 95atk karstan is the same DPM as a 129atk diestra. 1 str only adds about 8dmg. 1atk adds about 35dmg. 5000xp more is less than a kill at oblivion 4. if i made an archglaive with 102atk thats about 250dmg more each hit than a 95atk karstan. its like getting 7atk gloves. when i scroll it, ill get enuf dmg to make it way better than my 129atk diestra.

Karastan>Diesra for me even tho the dpm is almost similar. I would rather build up combos faster than do more damage per hit. Its hard for me to go back from a normal/fast speed weapon to a slow/slower speed weapon.
