I miss how Buccaneers used to be

It actually required you to really put effort into training and have the need of real control over your character to play efficiently. Now, the newer Vipers/Buccaneers don't really know how easy they have it. All you pretty much have to do is screw punch and Dragon Strike until you're bored and quit training or you level up, with maybe a few Blasts, Barrages, and Drains thrown in. Vipers/Buccaneers are too easy now Granted, DPS was HORRIBLE back then compared to now, but it was a LOT more fun to play a Viper back then. Only those who were 120+ way before the first wave of skill changes would know what I'm talking about, though. Oh~ Nostalgia. :P Edit : Woooooooow. You guys took this thread in the complete opposite direction I intended it to go. This was a NOSTALGIA thread, not a "LOL VIPERS SUCK NOW" thread... I wasn't trying to throw anything in anyone's face or call out people for doing differently than I did. My point for this thread was to have a nice chat about how much Vipers have evolved since they were released. God damn. You people need to stop being so defensive about everything and jumping at the gun to bash people for crap. I was hoping that you would figure it out when I said " Oh~ Nostalgia. :P" but I guess not... I MEANT NO HARM BY THIS THREAD...

We apologize for evolving, and learning to play the class. I'm sorry that I leveled to 3 levels below you in 2 months, for what took you well over a year. I apologize for using less pots by using cork and dragon strike along with blast very effectively. I apologize for not using drain like that idiot in the first video when it causes him to get hit a ton more. I apologize for you being emo about people being better than you. Basically i'm sorry for you. In your words "It was hell training" LOL! Just because something is hard, doesn't make it any more redeeming. Work smarter, not harder. If you don't learn that, you end up working at fast food restaurants for the rest of your life making pennies compared to innovative people who make millions and play 18 holes of golf a day.

I miss watching you train ;D I can agree somewhat, I mean i've never played a buccaneer so I can't comment on how it was/is but eh, nexon will constantly look for ways to make something easier. And freenoods gz on leveling faster than him, I guess. But im pretty sure he got 120 pretty damn fast.

IF you would like me to brag though, i got 120 in 4 days on this character. What i'm saying is, why be nostalgic about something that was worse? I don't see people whining about missing the great depression in america, because it sucked. People could barely live. It's a new life for buccaneers now, and even though our DPM isn't that great, I thoroughly enjoy my character and am so tired of this emo "vipers are useless" horse shyt. JMS mentality is stupid, and outdated if they put buccaneers down. I have NEVER been anything but accepted into ANY boss run i've ever wanted to get into.

Don't make this a JMS/GMS thing either TS. We don't need to hear your overall whining about how you get treated in JMS because thats sad, and shouldn't happen that way, but there's really nothing we can do about it. And most of what I see you doing in your balance patch vid is cork and dragonstrike. Ya know why? Because we're created like ANY OTHER CLASS. Heroes at skeles: Brandish brandish brandish, rush another mob together and rinse and repeat. Drks at skeles: fury, fury again, rush another mob together, rinse and repeat. Copy that for ANY OTHER class in the game. NLs at skeles: ninja storm or whatever its called to push them together into a mob, avenger, then TT till they all die, rinse and repeat. 90 percent of any other class 2 hits skeles at 155 and up with their mobbing skill and then rushes another mob together and rinses and repeats. With ranged its a bit different but the concept is PRETTY MUCH the same farking thing.

If you like the way buccaneers used to train, can you not still train that way? I mean, no one is making me train any way. Except if nexon changes skill timers so it throws everything off. I would like to play for fun, and I dont really care about levels. I am just enjoying my brawler right now. I dont think that Shikage cares too much about you guys leveling faster, but its just he misses the more fun way to play, where it was more challenging than before, because it entertained him more. Many buccs can just do DS + Cork until they get bored. If that is more fun for you, then great. Stop hating on Shikage tho.

I agree and disagree. I liked being #2 in Windia, but then it got boring fast because of the slow exp. I'm in the process of remaking now, seems a bit more fun.

Who cares, your class got a boost that helped your class out and your STILL whining. No one is stopping you from training the old ways anyways if you still want to, go ahead.
