It's the Durability Polearm, and durability items come from Dragon Rider PQ

You can get it from the dragon rider PQ edit: ninja'd Anyway, it costs a lot to repair the weapons and they don't last very long.

Its one of the rewards for completing DragonRiderPQ, however there's only a 1% chance you'll get it.

I believe that it's one of the new Durability weapons from the Dragon PQ (100+). If you want a new weapon, most Arans go from the Karstan at 64 to the Crimson Arcglaive at 100. Those are the last two weapons with Normal attack speed, allowing you to keep your combo up easier. I don't know how easy it would be to get the Machlear, but an Arcglaive can cost a bunch as it takes a bundle of mesos worth of materials to make. Expect the Arcglaive to be the endgame, though.

Alright thank you everyone... in that case, screw the Machlear... i just wanna know how to get Tao Of Shadows... the dark and the white one.. the other things needed to make an Arcglaive seem easy enough to get

You get them from turning in the badges of the mobs killed in Crimsonwood Mountain to the Dusk Raven (or whatever) clan. They're valued around 7-12m, essentially the cheapest part of the Arcglaive.

Of course a Karstan would be much more useful as it has the extra accuracy, but messengers come 90 atk clean. Mine's currently 102 attack. I'm waiting to upgrade to a 115+ arcglaive, but I have to say that it's worth using a lower attack normal speed weapon than a higher attack slow speed weapon. My 102 messenger was better than my 129 chelbird. It attacked noticeably faster, dealing almost as much damage per hit.

The accuracy on the Karstan becomes irrelevant once you get really high up in levels. An Arcglaive requires 80 DEX, so you won't need much more than that, considering that your level difference compared to the mobs you hunt plays a factor in how much acc you need in order to get 0% misses. I will admit I hadn't thought about the Heavenly Messenger. It looks like a good option, if you can find one or a white versal materia.

[/quote] don't you need some white versal material (or something) to forge a weapon? I haven't seen one of those in years. Anyway, the hardest part of an arcglaive is the crimson wood. only 9 spawn in each channel (in 2 maps, path of strength and lower ascent) and the drop rate is horrible, I think it's 10% I got 17 woods in 16 channels (5 trees per channel at path of strength) on 2x drop yesterday.
