I know CPQ is the quickest way to lvl (Pretty Much), but I hate it really bad since I don't do anything with the actual beginner! Its basically leeching. I want to grind, but its really slow. Maybe its because i'm impatient, or because I just don't train effectively? I know that LittleTLK for example grinds all the time and he levels up pretty fast. I wonder if someone can give me any tips for grinding with a beginner (My damage is about 150~1450 - Very unstable), Where to train at my levels, what weapon should I use or another PQ that might be more interesting? Thanks alot, BeginneRules or Elad :P

I choose two monsters that are best for me and flip-flop between those two and Monster Card hunting. Then again, I feel no need to level quickly so I don't really have the same issue. I think you should train on Nightmares until you can move on to Truckers. Use a 2H Weapon. Accept that your damage will always be unstable and training will always be slow. If you can't take it, make a jobbed character or quit playing and do something else until you feel like training your Beginner again. Don't force yourself to play just for a number, play because you enjoy it.

Yes, True.. Thanks for the advice Alyssa ~ I opened a Lukless cleric. I might just leave my beginner for a bit and come back when i feel like. I tried training on nightmares but as i said, my damage is very unstable so I train pretty slow. Do you think I should use a 2 handed weapon? Right now, i use Green Skis but i plan to sell them and get a emergency tube at lvl 60, or get a Maple Glory sword at lvl 64. I don't really like two handed weapons since they are slower then 1 handed weapons, though 1 handed weapons are weaker.

If you don't like leeching in CPQ, make them laugh as your payment! Be the funny guy; Beginners are quirky as it is so they're romanticized for their ability to make people laugh. :3

GunDelHelI did: Mossy Snails > STDs > Primitive Boars > Dead Scarecrows > WRs However, I also had... 52 more AP than you. And possibly better, equips, Im not sure... Oh, and the dismount double-attack glitch still worked then too... Regardless, those are some good staples, I also did some CPQ2 in the slow-down time. Regardless, once you get to Primboars/DeadScarecrows, you've made it man. ALSO! BE A MAN! USE A FAN!
I think you had a advantage :P Dead Scarecrows hit me 2 much i think and they are pretty hard to kill. I tried Primboars, but I really think they are bad exp for the amount of hp they have (Though its a flat surface spawn, and thats nice) but i do think that nightmares are better exp per amount of Hp. I also have 7 luk (Started playing this char when i was 9 :O ). Fan is less attack + Hp then Emergency tube, + Higher lvl requirement + its much more expensive. I think i'll go Emergency Tube :P But still, I'm not sure if i should use a 1 handed weapon or 2 handed.
Hathelian : If you don't like leeching in CPQ, make them laugh as your payment! It seems dumber then leeching, sorry. +[

Meaning you would have to have like a 115ish atk ER tube to match the DPM of my fan.
I can't afford a fan with more than 100 att. They're all in the 100mil+ range. I don't have that for now. I MAY go get a fan after my birthday, when i might get some cash (because my family and friends have given up trying to buy anything for me). Err, and Elan: I don't actually level that fast, lol. I enjoy grinding, so obviously, I do a lot of it, therefore I tend to gain exp from it faster than someone that would get bored of it quickly. At your level I was grinding on NightMares and Primitive Boars. The boars are a it much at first, so alternate between those and nightmares. Truckers are an option, but if you don't have a good solid amount of defense, they can be a pot burner, even for beginners until lv 60+. If you want to grind faster, a 2h wep will be useful if you can 1hit-3hit kill the monsters. If you can't, then a 1h weapon will be more useful, because it's a bit faster to use. And like Miss Alyssaur said- If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong. Taking breaks to go card hunting, questing, ect can help. And if that's no longer fun, make another character and play them for a while. I usually get bored of my jobbed characters after 2-3 days of it, but that's me. If even that isn't any fun, taking a break from MapleStory altogether may be useful. Here're some tips on making grinding "fun": 1) Listen to some music or leave the TV on while you play. 2) Be in a comfortable position that you can maintain for at least 30mins at a time. 3) Start on low level monsters that don't hit you that much (in terms of damage) so you don't have to pot that much. 4) Zone out. Just focus on the music or tv or your inner contemplations and let your fingers move you around absentmindedly hacking through monsters. Normal when you come back to reality, you've gained a few %. After a while, this becomes relaxing for me.

Well, i do listen to music.. but i guess if i will be focused on music and not the game so much, it'll be much more easier. I can hit 1-3 hits with my pole arm, since night mares have 1930 hp and i hit up to 1450, so might be 3 hits, i hope so. I should really card hunt and stuff.. but i really think that to keep me interested in the game I should join a guild.. I hate non beginners guilds, but i won't come back to Aizawa since 1st- i don't think steph want's me anymore there, and 2nd- I don't know if I want to join the guild.. =[ I don't really know what to do, its kinda like Monopolies- There's only 1 Beginners guild in whole Scania.. +O oh and Little, Btw my name is Elad :PPP
CPQ is somewhat of an unstable source of EXP. Unless you always have friends by your side who can CPQ with you, either with TW, FW, etc, on days you'll be racking up a lot of EXP if you find yourself a good party who accepts you. However, on other days you probably might not gain one single EXP from it at all. If you can tell me where you're grinding at currently, I'll tell you if that's a good place to train in or not. If not, I will offer you suggestions. Deal with the fact that your damage is unstable and low. You have low Mastery, you have no skills, you have less access to equipment, you have little damage. Period. Have you tried OPQ? It is pretty empty but it isn't particularly very bad EXP.
DodgerFan : LMPQ? Its dead but you wont be leaeching
It is still leeching. Many people would always run through it, killing the Tauromacis and etc. Now, even a level 70 beginner is going to have some trouble killing a Tauromaci/Taurospear, not only because of the damage it deals but also because of its HP, avoidability, etc. For anybody in the lower level limits required to do LMPQ, you're just going to be sitting there, leeching and doing nothing because you can't even kill some of the monsters there.
