Do Dexless Thieves Die Easily?

Im wondering about you're opinions and experiences with dexless sins/dits. I've heard that they die easily because of their lack of defence. Well if that's the case, then HOW easily do they die. Do they just like get killed in one blow from horntail or something? Or do they just take more damage over time. Or are they so hard to maintain that you ALWAYS need a priest around? thanks

i thought you meant population wise but wouldnt their vast amount of luk add to their avoidability which compensates for their lack of def. in my book avoid > def

Yea they need to hp was but they have that skil like godmode

[/quote] depends actually you cant really bf without hb if you wash or take a hit from scar's third body til 13x invis frames and mg only go so far that said ... when it comes to training we dexless dont really have a problem sure our def is lower but our avoid is higher and the dmg we take compared to reg is around 500 or less

I suppose they take slightly more damage than high-dex thieves, but it's not really a problem, since you won't be training on anything that can OHKO you anyways. If you're adding dex just for more defense...you're doing it wrong.

You only take slightly more damage since the zhelm is where most of your defence comes from anyway. the damage and avoid more than makes up for it though

I personally am a dexless NL and I do take slightly more dmg than regular build NLs with high lvl equips, but its nothing noticable.

i think the problem isnt so much as def as it is low hp. unless you get hb as a dexless sin, its almost impossible to boss. but i have heard of regular dexless sins bfing, but thats prolly because they can pin from range, and can only bf in certain maps. shadowers have meso guard, but i believe low hp is still a problem with some bosses. and ya, DS is a lifesaver sometimes.

Just look at zhelms, MoNs. Avoid helps alot too.

The defense equips give is so little that it is insignificant.

If you're on the border of taking 1 hit and 2 hits, a bit of weapon defense only lets you take 2 hits maybe 5 levels earlier.
