Speed of the Maroon Mop?

I always thought the atk speed of the maroon mop was slower speed. Basil Market on the other hand has it listed as Normal speed, is it some sort of typo or was the speed of the mop changed? http://www.basilmarket.com/MapleStory-item-Maroon-Mop-1827.html

With such a high base attack, the speed hardly matters, lol. No matter what wep you;re using, your DPM will go up with that thing.

The Maroon Mop is the slowest of slow weapons in Maple Story. There are very few weapons that are just as slow. Also, "LOL" at the misinformed people in the comment section of that site.

[/quote] I seriously doubt even a perfect purple surfboard can compete with a Maroon Mop. Even perfect scrolled, it's still 70+ attack less than a clean maroon mop, and the "fast" speed of a purple surfboard won't make too much of a difference, especially if you use the maroon mop on a legend. My training consists of: attack, get hit, attack, get hit, attack, get hit; instead of like a jobbie that just holds down the button and mows away enemies. In short: 70 wep att > 4 speeds faster. There's a point where the raw power output just overtakes your attacking speed (which isn't going to be very fast on a beginner anyway, considering we get hit often)

[/quote] No. The difference between a perfectly-scrolled Purple Surfboard and a Maroon Mop in terms of weapon attack is still too big in comparison to, say an average level 20 Frozen Tuna to a well-scrolled Fish Spear. It is like saying a Pumpkin Basket is better than a Dark Snowboard/Blue Valentine Rose.

[/quote] What level is a purple surfboard, because a maroon mop is lvl 36. Still as readers said the difference in attack is too high for the speed to really matter.

Maroon Mop maybe be a 2h weapon but still I doubt there will be another 2h weapon that can beat it unless they make a faster spear with 100+ att clean. I think then I'd pick that. Since some beginners arn't too high on damage they may take something that looks cool but still puts up a punch. Maroon Mop>Purple surfboard anyday. thats my opinion but I'm sticking to it.
