Computer Games to Play Offline

Well, my school just handed every student in the 9th grade a laptop to use, but our computer administrator wouldn't let us put anything on it that's not for education. However, he lets us play games on the laptop as long as it's only on a hard drive. So I was wondering, are there any good games that I can play without internet? The only game I can think of at the moment is Plants VS Zombies.

LOL.. The games on our school computer's networks which can be accessible through every student are rather crude, but I must say, I find them entertaining.. I don't think I'm allowed to mention it here..
