So i just got banned

I was playing maple minding my own business in the fm. and i get a message saying GMsomeone has banned you for the reason of hacking. i later logged on to a different account and told some guy what happened and he told me to sue maplestory. lol. should i do it?

You can't sue... In the ToS, Nexon basically reserves the right to terminate your account for any reason.

The character you make is not your property, its Nexons. If the company went bust all of a sudden, you can't simply ask them for money for all the time you spent leveling or on NX. People who play MS aren't investors so they have no rights when it comes to the operations of the game.

I'm bored and feel like posting something stupid. While you can't sue them for anything because they have the right to ban you at any time for whatever reason (ToS)....you could always take a violent approach to it and march yourself down to Nexon America's HQ in CA and shoot up the place, killing anyone and everyone there and then proclaim to everyone around who saw you that if you hadn't been banned, none of this would have happened. And looking at previous events like this, the govt. and a lot of parents/mothers would likely get involved and say that Nexon/all online video games are a menace, bad for children, yada yada, and not only would there be this huge negative view of Nexon America from then on, they would likely face several law suits (unsuccessful ones still cost an *** load of money) and it would severely damage their reputation and profits. Of course that's all hypothetical and I don't promote it....but it would be funny as hell to see all of this chaos going on xD

QQ." And especially since you didn't lose any money over it...as well as the fact you agreed to a contract online (albeit a weak one).

[/quote] You're right, but this isn't a privacy issue as there is nothing private about the matter, nor was personal information mishandled. And it definately isn't intellectual property since we as the players 'own' nothing.

I don't think any lawyer would even consider defending a gamer when it states in nexon's ToS that they reserve the right to terminate an account without notice.
