why no reverse/timeless?

almost nobody chooses their endgame weapon as a reverse or timeless equip but i want to know why? they can evolve and that stuff

There are often better options than Reverse weapons, and as for Timeless...Well, you need Rocks of Time for that, and only Pink Bean drops those.

They cost a ton to make, can only be traded once, fail scrolling one is a HUGE loss because even a clean one costs so much.

They are too lazy to hunt for PoTs in ToT and/or can't afford them since they are 7m a piece and you need 45.

Ex: Having LUK as a mage isn't worth it, and Reverse Mage gear requires LUK; Stonetooth is a beast of a sword for warriors (although the Reverse 1h is good, I've heard); Crimson Arcglaive > Reverse Diesra; etc. None of this means that all classes are better off with a non-Reverse weapon, just that several are.

Its probably better to perfect scroll a level 100 equip, rather than a reverse, though. You could actually resell a perfectly scrolled DT for a ton of meso later on if you wanted. So I'm guessing thats why you dont see as many reverse weps around as well.

In most cases, people dont bother with Reverse weapons because they cost a lot of money (at 5mill per PoT, thats over 225mill per reverse), and then we have scrolling where the weapon often turns into crap or explodes. However, in the case of Warriors, they often choose faster weapons over Reverse, because weapon speed is highly significant in their DPM. For Heroes/Paladins they get either the NRW, ST or RK. For DrKs they often get Sky Skis, and for Aran its often the Purple Snowboard, Arcglaive or Super Snowboard.

[/quote] not to mention the cost of the ADV power crystals, advanced diamond, and advanced dex crystal or an advanced black crystal, throw in some 30's and thats a pretty expensive weapon with no resale value. not to mention ST & NRW are the only swords that reward a base dex of greater than 4 (there is another lvl 2x sword that requires dex but it sucks & no one bothers with it or even mentions it)

well for most jobs reverse is best but you cant sell it that kinda sucks and for some jobs there are better weapons
