Acne cream :Works?

I've had acne for about 2 years now... and I'm not sure if they turned into acne scars or not, but do acne creams really work? Did it work for you? I'm asking this because my friend had acne and he used acne creams (many kinds of them) and none of them worked... I'm probably going to buy acne cream from Rite Aid or something and I want to know if they would work? I know nothing about these things so don't get mad at me lol.

I think it depends on the person and the creme, but Neutrogena helped a friend of mine not to long ago.

I use Clearasel or however you spell it. It works perfectly fine for me.

use patricia wexler, its really effective. helps scars and prevents future acne. proactiv supposedly gets yr skin addicted to it... so i stopped using it.

I use a acidic clean & clear in the morning in the shower, then I use oxy pads before I go to bed my skin gets so gross if I skip a day. keeps me under control if I do wash it twice daily though. I've also used other stuff that just irradiated my skin even more.

just wondering.. do night cremes work? my sis is willing to let me use some of her night creme or w/e to get rid of my acne if it will.

From my experience, it doesnt work. From what I found out is that if you just use this thing in the shower. This morning brust scrub thing, in the morning. It worked for me I barley have acne now, you can kinda see some though but they dont pop out. I also use a hot compress times a week, and wash my wash 2-3 times a day, depending on what I did...
