How does this Cake vs Pie work?Help please!

This is my first maple anniversary and im soo excited.I looked at the events and there was this cake vs pie thingy....how does that work?Is it like a pvp where you throw pies/cakes on people?Please explain!

I'm gonna assume it's like Maplemas vs. Versalmus (pretty sure it's not spelled right because I remember it spelled something backwards...?) where each side had a "global" competition to correct the most of something... winners got something while losers got coals

we dont know rly. this is my 4th aniiversary and each year it was something diff for instnce, Maple Anniversary 3. You would get a maple hat from jane in lith harber. prolly this is a maple hat quest. but i dont rly know

There was a poll with cake vs pie and most answered Cake although it wasn't a very big difference
