i really dont understand how people can say corsairs are better than nightlords and vice versa Honestly iv been doing some basil research and i dont understand how people can prove corsairs have higher dpm like really prove it im not trying to be biased but the wonderful site of youtube has convinced me that NL are better than corsairs battleship has 4 hits, TT has 6 i tried to find a comparison video but could not find one showing the buffs so please i wanna see PROOF that sairs are better than NL and vice versa and if u think NL is better i wanna see PROOF that nl is better thanks

Put "4th Job DPS calcs" into Google. xD Both jobs suck in their own way, but if you want more potential damage, be a Sair, srsly. xD Edit: Vids can make any job look godly and crap. Plus there are many NLs that have godly equips where the Corsair population is tiny in comparison. xD

If you want hours of math: Here you go. Damage wise, Corsair > NL. Does it make Corsair a better class? No. Just play the class you enjoy the most (clich�, but true).

battleship does near-epic damage, and they also have a bunch of summons that help a TINY bit

People generally say Corsairs are stronger than NLs because NLs only have good DPM with SE. Therefore, Corsairs will almost unconditionally win in pretty much any solo bossing (except for maybe at BF), and any party bossing where SE isn't available. Corsairs and NLs are actually quite close when both have SE. NLs can be better or worse depending on the situation; there's too many factors to say whether either one is better unconditionally, as you have to take into account which boss you're fighting, the corsair and NL's level, control, and funding, which build they followed, appled or unappled, damage dealt by boss, ability to pin the boss, mobility of boss, etc. In most situations, a Corsair with SE will beat an equally funded NL with SE, but it's pretty close. NLs are AT LEAST on par with Corsairs when it comes to party bossing (with SE, of course) due to 15 minute apples from alchemist. Even so, I'd say that Corsairs are better at overall bossing simply because they have high DPM in both solo and party situations, while NLs only have good damage with SE.

Withought SE, Sairs Win. With SE, Sairs Still Win. With Apple+SE, Sairs still win. ITs because since they are so weak (normal attack) their skills institute HUGE damage. Therefore, Buffs Affect them More

Ok, Sairs are better by about 7% in a bossing situation when you take into account cast time, W.Atk difference, Secondary stat difference, and the attack's %. The only arguments NL have is there boat could break, they have WAY more avd so more steady atk, and that the W.Atk ratio between the classes is in the favor of NL (so the more W.Atk gear that comes out the closer NL get to Sair).
