EMachine Laptop Help! - BasilMarket Forum

So my sister recently got herself a laptop (on Black Friday) it's an EMachine Laptop. It's been working great she said, but a few weeks ago her dog chewed her power chord. I had an extra chord from my old laptop and it worked on hers. Just recently her computer hasn't been properly turning on. What happens is, it says it's plugged in, but when you turn it on, nothing happens except the power button turns blue (on). Anyone know what might be wrong? EDIT: She said every so often, it works, but it takes 50+ times of turning it on and off.

That probably doesn't have anything to do with the wire you gave her then. If the power light lights up, it means the wire is connected properly. Unfortunately most likely signals a problem with the laptop's hardware. She may have to have it serviced under the warranty (if it's still in effect).
