What is a good gaming laptop?

The games i wish to play on it are, oblivion, morrowind, all unreal tournaments. ms, mass effect 1 or 2, halo, the sims 2 and 3. I am willing to spend 750$ (usd) and it can be any main brands like sony, dell, hp, tochiba. and a 16' in. to 17' in screen. any suggestions?

The hardest to run out of those games would be Mass Effect 2. You'd want a laptop with a decent dedicated graphics card, and those come in at around $850ish.

Either way, all of those games (minus Mass Effect 2) have low system requirements, therefore it could easily fit below your $750 budget. If you're talking about Mass Effect 2 however, it may need to cost more than that (as the recommended graphic cards alone would have to cost around $200+).

i already have 3 desktops and good computers. -.- but none are mine. i have to share one with my bro and he is a @$$. thats why i want my own laptop so i can do whatever i please on it.

The OP wants a laptop. Yes, $ for $ a desktop is generally better ( only to a point because a completely new system can really drive up prices, I can show you if you really want me to ), however, the OP wants a laptop . OP: There are two kinds of gamers, gamers that like maxed out graphics at high resolutions and gamers that dont really care about graphic settings, they just like to play at acceptable framerates. Which one are you? Knowing the answer to this is essential in recommending you a suitable system.

I like pretty decent graphics. i dont like it to look all fuzzy. it gives me a headache. i like to see every thing clear. and idk if i can buy mass effect 2. i have the first one so yea. maybe that will help

IMHO, this will be your best bet. The HD 5650 is a good GPU and adequately replaces the 4670 in the mid range sector. Its performance will be mainly based on its core clock, but it can be equivalent to even the 5730 if clocked high enough. Itll play most games on medium, some on high. Games like BFBC2, GTA IV, and CoD:MWII you will want to run on med and games that are maybe a bit older you can run on high. If thats not enough power however, you need to be willing to put up more $$ for the cost of hardware.
