I'm not in IB yet, I'm in pre-ib and its going well =D kind of a breeze. Gl with IB, I wonder how hard IB is compared to pre-IB

Im in grade 8 currently and i got accepted into grade 9 Pre-IB and i heard it was freakin insanly hard ._. will i still have time to play COD if i go?

My first AP/IB test of the year will be English A1 HL. The Mathematics SL test is on the same exact day as the AP Calculus test, so I get to take a full day of math tests. My Vietnamese A1 SL test is on the morning of senior ditch day. It happens to be the only test scheduled that day, so only the students taking Viet A1 get to be tortured.

Tbh IB is alright if you just do the past papers and learn the exam technique off the mark schemes. Loads of my mates did that and got 38-40 out of 45 points. I even know one guy who managed to get 45/45 points but still got rejected by Oxford (he got owned at interview).

[/quote] next year: we're picking our topics in class after the exams (nothing else to do for the next 2 months) need to find supervisors @above, yeah, I'm in SL don't worry too much about it, if your average in math is 80%+ in pre-ib you should be good hell, I was getting a 7x% back in gr10 pre-ib, and I'm getting a predicted 5 (I'm the stupid guy in the class btw), hoping to raise it to a 6 in the exams, doubt it though... but yeah, people getting 8x%s in gr10 are getting 6-7s now

Past papers are really a godsend when studying for IB exams.. I've seen people go from 3/4s to 6/7s .

why do some places call it ap, and others call it ib?

IB (International Baccalaureate) is more rigorous than AP where you must write an EE (extended essay 4000 words? i forgot), and take TOK (Theory of Knowledge) class in your senior year and some other stuff. While AP is called advanced placement courses, are still hard but is more flexible.
