How efficient are Evans?

As bossers. Do they rack up enough DPM to be considered useful in their higher levels?

Here's a hint: They're mages. Are mages historically good bossers? -edit- Alright, before anybody complains, perhaps I should elaborate. Yes, they do have very useful skills for boss battles. The question, however, pertained to their DPM. As mages, Evans have lower single-target DPM than most other classes.

[/quote] Yeah, I get what you're saying. I was asking though, because I had been told before they came out that Nexon was planning to make them more focused on 1v1 attacks rather than mobbing. They also have skills like critical, and I thought that would make their damage a good bit higher than regular mages.

DPS-wise they aren't very good bossers, but they have plenty of buffs that would be highly welcomed in many bossing runs. However, their 1v1 DPS isn't too bad.

Does Ghost lettering apply to all the damage that the monster takes or only damage done by the caster? If it applies to all the damage a monster takes, sacrificing one spot on the run for an Evan will increase everyone's damage by 5%... I feel like that alone would make Evans wanted on boss runs. The buffs we have are just icing on the cake if Ghost lettering can effect everyone's damage.

Evans aren't the best at bossing solo, but better than others. Evans however, have many helpful party buffs, which are amazing at Zak, Scar, and even PB.
