Awesome, 3rd thread that doesn't need to be made. with that out of the way lets look at something shall we? Maplestory is a MMORPG Massive Mutiplayer Online Role Playing GAME so yes, MS is a GAME. Look a little bit deeper and we'll find something else. MS is a game with many other players (massive multiplayer), these other people come in the form of pixels, with different classes, skills, and personal traits including skin color, hair, eyes etc etc. This is similar to real life. It's NOT real life, but it is like it. In life you meet other people, and ultimately you fight to accomplish goals. In MS these "goals" are easily defined by the word "Level" or "Lv." for short. In R/L these goals come as many different things, whether its finding a job, getting a raise, or making more money. The point is to reach these goals it takes TIME, MONEY (in MS it's mesos, sometimes even real money), and determination. If it didn't take these 3 factors I don't think we'd have any level 200s. In real life you learn values through experience, values such as honesty, trustworthiness, and friendship. In MS it prepares you for the same things, but on a smaller scale. Look at your past MS experiences, what have you learned and accomplished. For me: Not everyone can be trusted. Sometimes your friends aren't really your friends. A good deed helps more than just yourself. Determination goes a long way. -many many more- _now look at your real life_ I'm sure most of you have been through stuff like this right? Liars (scammers) Cheaters (hackers) Sure, MS is a game that is mean't to be for fun, but no matter what you do, whether its MS, Football, Basketball, your job, don't take it lightly. Everything teaches a lesson, can you catch it? Yes, MS is a game Yes, MS is "more" than a game (in some ways), but is NEVER a substitute for "having a real life" So, I guess to end this, I'll say this. If you get hacked "So what it's just a game" right? Is the same true for If you lose your job "So what, its just a job, you can find another one" right? If you lose a friend "So what, its just a friend, you can always find more" right? Okay, well I had something else to say, but w/e Flame all you want Agree, Disagree. Do w/e.

I lold at this thread. "So what you got hacked" does not compare to "so what you lost a job". Because of your parent's jobs you have a house and a computer to play your games. A job is what keeps you alive. I doubt the hours and money earned from a job sum up to the hours people spend on a 2d game.

EDIT @ Ninjek: oh, but it is the same in their respective universe! getting hacked is in maple as losing a job in real life, they each cripple you in their respective side! the only reason we can survive in maple as opposed to the real world, si because we need no maintenance in maple, and even so, were you hacked totally, left in nothing but your white underwear, as a hobo, you wouldn't have any other choice than to beg for money to get a weapon, and start all over again. unfortunately, we must pay to live life, our food.

I do agree that MS brings people with somewhat similar interests together. Maybe that's what makes this more than "Just a game".
