Does combat step defeats the purpose of a level 50 mount?

For many Arans out there, you would already have known that using Combat Step at elevated platforms (Ant Tunnel being a perfect example) would greatly boost the distance traveled in a short time. For those who mastered the Combat Step dash trick, you travel even faster on flat grounds as compared to normal (and even faster than the level 50 mounts) Considering Aran being a hero version of warrior, they should theoretically be the slowest of all classes. Did Nexon fail to consider the effects of friction for Combat Dash, or am I thinking too much? Anyways, what is the purpose of a level 50 mount when people can Combat Step spam, travels faster and looks more badass?

Combat Step Jump... so fast and fun.. You can even use one hand and multitask while traveling... which is how I came to figure it out. ^-^

...Macro-ing C-Step... dunno... it seems to be better, but it could be that im getting better at timing the jump. it's great for keeping ur combos going if u dont FAIL.

Combat step is still faster than my 150 mount, not by a whole lot, but it is faster.

not a big deal. one of the main flaws in warriors leading to them being ksed is their lack of mobility, soul rush and combat step are attempts to compensate for that.

Purpose of the mount: Style, as it is with thieves and mages, and pirates to some extent. Purpose of CS jump: Keeping combos up.

to be honest here, i prefer cstep over my lvl 150 mount. it's definitely faster if you get the hang of the dash-jump trick. another reason for me is when youre on mount, it cancels out freeze standing, so i get KB'd all around.
