About abortion. You see, from what I know, every kid has had, quite in fact "that one talk". Be it through the school system, or the parents. Therefore, I can draw this out. Most of the population knows that going unprotected means the chance of having a baby. we have this. Most people know that being unprotected = possible baby. Yes? so, then, these people know that they might have a pregnancy on their hands through intercourse. Therefore, it can be said that.. aww my dog just stretched in his sleep! back on topic, they KNOW that this is a possible side effect of intercourse. Then, we have the topic, are fetuses alive? if what I said is true, may I say it again? People know that a pregnancy could be the result of intercourse. if that is true, then I will write something about how the fetus follows enough of the phenomena of life, to be classified as alive, as well as state the law of Biogenesis. - Sigyle EDIT: I don't see why everyone thinks that response to stimuli is the only condition that determines if something's alive or not.

I believe abortion is only right if the women was forced into having sex, otherwise take action for your carelessness. That being said if an abortion occurs regardless I believe it is alright to be used for stem cell research, as long as we don't try to play "God" and cure small things before big problems.

yeah, sorry, but your post doesn't make a lot of sense. How is the child that results from forced sex or from close relatives any more precious than a normally conceived child? It isnt. In fact, those are both commonly found in nature, perfectly natural. I'll trust the scientific view of when a fetus is to be considered "alive." And for reference, there are other instances where a child can be conceived, despite having taken the proper precautions. Birth controls can fail. Condoms can break. An abortion is merely the next step in "taking responsibility" for your actions, in those instances.

[/quote] Saving this post for tomorrow, after I get some sleep, my typing abilities are failing me as I write this. People know condoms can break. therefore, protected sex may be protected, but you still know that there is a small possibility your protection may fail. therefore, you know that however unlikely it is, you may end up with a pregnancy. You may end up with a baby.
