Which Laptop would be better

In terms of Durability , Life , and power so I can handle games such as maplestory at Zakum or Pink Bean, not like I'm intending to go there but those seem to be the most intensive thing for 2d games. Link to compare the two Sorry I'll have to check this thread tomorrow, gone to sleep.

the only relevant difference between the two listed computers are the CPUs the i3-330M is just about better in everything than Turion X2 520 (clock for clock, cache size, # of threads) the Radeon 4200 is negligibly better than the Arrandale GPU Durability: depends more on how well you take care of your computer Life: both computers are using current generation mainstream mobile processors with respect to AMD and Intel Power: if your asking about electricity, both laptops dont use too much. if your asking about computing power, the i3 will easily handle maplestory and its largest boss runs as long as it is not bottle-necked by your internet

So just the processing power determines how smooth games go? Is there a site that can tell me which is less likely to overheat?

Neither will overheat as long as you take proper care of them; dont drop them and clean dust from the vents every 6-9months.

From the posts, there hasn't been much explanation of why the OOU is >OOF. Could someone give more insight?

The processor in the 1st one is significantly faster than the second. Apart from that, the first has a higher resolution screen. The graphics/IGP on both are roughly around the same. IMO, it's well worth the extra money. But keep in mind, the first one is also larger and heavier compared to the second.

The only differences is as Azn mentioned, the 1st one uses a noticeably superior cpu uarch and has a larger screen resolution. Thats it. Thats the only reason its more expensive.

Would the first one (OOF)'s single processor be better than the second's dual processor? Is there that much of a difference?

What are you talking about? Both system use a dual core CPU and the i3-330 is far superior as it not only does it have a greater IPC value, it also uses SMT.
