Okay, so today, when I came home, my dad instantly started yelling at me about a cup. Just a cup. An ordinary cup, nothing special. So I'm saying in my head "Lol, here we go again". He keeps asking me where it went, and I'm like "I don't know, I'm never even home" So then I go up to my room, then he bashes the door open and starts screaming at me while I'm trying to watch a good movie. So I tell him "Do you really have to get so worked up over a cup, when we have like 30 more?" He tells me to shut the hell up and also tells me I need to work on my attitude. I ask him how I have an attitude and he says I always have an attitude, and that if I don't work on it, he'll kick my ass. ( I know he won't hit me for things like this, so I just laugh at him (under my breath) and say 'okay' over and over again) Last time I checked being calm and replying with short answers wasn't having an attitude. o-o When I get yelled at by my parents for stupid things though, I don't even get angry. It's kinda funny to me, but it's really annoying. I was just wondering if things like this ever happen to any basilers.

And no, I'm pretty sure I'm not spoiled. I've left and got kicked because I've done pretty much what you've done right there. I gave my dad so much attitude and looking back, yeah I was a brat. Was my dad still wrong about what we were fighting about? Yeah. But you just have to learn how to deal with things better. If you treat him better he will end up treating you better.

Seems to me that after being punched in the face I would call the cops, not start acting like a spoiled brat.

[/quote] I said I screamed back like a brat? I don't think so. I laugh under my breath, not out loud, so how would he possibly know that I'm laughing at him? Treating certain people better does not make them treat you better. It just makes them think they can take advantage of you. The only thing I asked him was "How do I have an attitude?" And then he can't even give me a reason, so he just tells me to shut up. If I talked to him like a "normal person" i'd just get punched in the face, and even if he doesn't punch me, he won't let me get much in before I get interrupted. Edit: I never said my dad punches me in the face, and I never said I scream at him. What I meant was IF i screamed back, he'd punch me in the face. I already know, because what parent is going to take that crap from their kid? Besides, I'm convinced that my dad gives me crap because he has nothing better to do while he's home.
