Do you like dating someone better looking or worse?

When you date someone a little worse, (not super ugly) you feel more confident. When dating someone better looking than you, you can feel like your not hot enough to be with them. Although, when you do date someone better looking, you get the advantage of having a good looking bf or gf. So, what do you prefer?

I don't gain confidence based on their appearance, I respect anyone I date based on how they deserved to be treated. Sounds like you're just shallow minded when it comes to women. I've never been intimidated by pompous girls that try and get by wooing guys by their looks, in fact they're the least intimidating.

I always crush on guys that are phenomenally more attractive, but I freeze up in their presence, so that obviously would never work out. But I wouldn't want to date someone who I didn't think was good looking. Someone who I'm comfortable with plz.

I'd go for just about equal. Otherwise better looking, since I can deal with that. Even though I've got my insecurities, I'm not self-hating or lacking a huge amount of self-esteem.

[/quote] Pshh. No way. Im just making a point, if you with someone who is way better looking, you sometimes feel like they could do better. Or, you wish you were better looking for them and lose some confidence in yourself. It has nothing to do with being shallow. lol Edit: btw you sound wayyy too confident in yourself. Just so ya know when you are trying to pick up super hot girls and they deny you. ;)

I've dated some 'pretty' girls who've had lawyer ex boyfriends, date guys who can bench a small whale, or have the standards down to a 20 page list, and yet I always have the confidence that I have something to offer that no other guy can. If I take out an innocent, shy and self conscience woman I don't believe in talking down to them or acting arrogant, it's all about doing what you can to create trust and bring out their personality. I've had some dates which involved some awkward and unpleasant situations, not all go well. But I never felt above or below the person I'm with. The same can be said for friends and strangers alike. Even the people I've come to see almost no respectable qualities in, if they showed me respect they'd get the same back.

remember if u go after the better looking ones, they can always go find a better looking person. what ive notice around here is the hot girls date sorta guys in the 4-6 range scale of 10 so they dont get screwed.
