For those still hazy on the damage an Evan is capable of vs any other mage here's the answer in terms of raw power... These are the strongest attacks for each class for their job level and the 'Evan equivalent' of it... 1st job Magican... - (MAGIC CLAW: Level 20: MP -20; Basic attack 40 x 2 Hit , mastery 60%) 1st stage Evan (level 10) - (MAGIC MISSILE: Level 20: MP -18, Basic Attack: 40 , Mastery: 60%) Identical attacks, although with the Evan skill "Dragon Soul" also in the first mastery, you get another +20 magic attack too) 2nd job - I/L (COLD BEAM: Level 30: MP -24; Basic attack 100 , mastery 60%, freeze monster for 2 seconds) - F/P (FIRE ARROW: Level 30: MP -28; Basic attack 120 , mastery 60%) - Cleric (HOLY ARROW: Level 30: MP -24; Basic attack 80 , mastery 60%) 3rd stage Evan (level 30) - (LIGHTNING BOLT: Level 20: MP -24, Basic Attack: 160 , Mastery: 60%) A hell of a lot more powerful here. Lightning bolt is nearly as powerful as any other mage's 3rd job attack... but you get it 40 levels ahead of any other mage) 3rd job - I/L (THUNDER SPEAR: Level 30: MP -24; Basic attack 170 , mastery 60%) - F/P (EXPLOSION: Level 30: MP -50; Basic attack 120 , mastery 60%, attack range 200%) *Mob skill. No single target attacks in 3rd for F/P - Priest (SUMMON DRAGON: Level 30: MP -80; Summon a dragon with basic attack 150 for 140 seconds) 5th stage Evan (level 50) - (MAGIC FLARE: Level 20: MP -30, Basic Attack: 270 , Mastery: 60%) 100 attack more than other mage's 3rd job attack and you still have it before your mage would even get to 3rd job. 4th job - I/L (BLIZZARD: Level 30: MP -3500, Basic attack 570 ) - F/P (METEOR SHOWER: Level 30: MP -3500, Basic attack 570 ) - Bishop (GENESIS: Level 30: MP -3500, Basic attack 670 ) 10th stage Evan - DARK FOG: Level 30: MP -800, Basic Attack: 750 , Mastery: 60%) Just look for yourself... note how much more power the Evan has, and how much less his MP cost is as well. Now in addition to that, you get skills that boost your stats, raise your minimum damage and give you a chance for critical attacks... 1st stage - (DRAGON SOUL: Level 20: Magic Attack +20) 6th stage - (CRITICAL MAGIC: Level 15: 30% chance, Critical Damage: 150%) 9th stage - (MAGIC MASTERY: Level 30: Magic Attack Mastery +90%, Magic Attack +15) 10th stage - (BLESSING OF THE ONYX: Level 30: MP -42, Weapon and Magic Defense +100, Magic Attack +50) ...so now where a typical mage would be hitting 60%~100% with it's attacks, the Evan will be hitting for 90%~150% thanks to it's critical and mastery skills. In addition, you have an extra 75 magic attack just from passive skills.

lol @ 75 extra magic attack I don't see the purpose of this thread. If you make an Arch Mage, chances are it's for Meteor Shower or Blizzard. Dark Fog not only isn't learned until level 160, it has a cooldown time of a minute. And for any other purposes, I would make a physically oriented class. So I'd say the Evan is pretty meh.

I heard they got an AMP like skill, which is weaker than a Mage's AMP. I also heard that their attacks are also slower.

Note that Evan skills have insanely slow casting. Their ultimate has a 20 second CD. You also forget to mention that for Arch Mages, if we're talking going solo; that for them the 20 Magic is negated in later levels by Meditation.

You didn't even notice Dark Fog has a cooldown, which is commonly known. Fix your comparison, because this si worthless. You are really being biased here. "EVAn gets +20 skill!" -> Mages get meditation "Evan has 160 base attack, mage only 100!", without even taking notice of the speed.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but on my Even, my lightning skill (3rd change) had a somewhat delay time after casting it. Do the other Even skills have delay times too?

this post needs a bit more depth mages get meditation so it kind of cancels out dragon soul dark fog has a cooldown, though i admit the cost of mp is kind of unfair lol and thunderspear is pretty useless in 3rd job also, the casting speed for skills are very different

most evan skills have a slight delay before recast, but once casted i noticed u can tele even while skill has not yet actually atked

You forgot Evan's skills are annoyingly slow and the skills need to be charged.

For those of you saying that Evan skills have a slow cast time, once you get booster to 11+, that slow cast is much faster than it was considering we get a +3 speed booster. Yes, our attacks are still slower than SOME mage skills; but, overall, evans are not very slow.
