I haven't seen any Arans or anything at bossing. I never see Captains (Corsairs in GMS) or XBows at bossing (or at least not very often) and us Vipers are only used for Oak Barrel. For training, definitely all types of mages. |

[/quote] How is Oak Barrel helpful for bossing? I tho vipers were used for speed fusion and time leap o-o |

OT: from everyone on Basil, I believe Shikage08 knows the most about JMS... |

The Japanese hardly ever want Time Leap or Wind Booster, so from the party buff aspect, we're 100% unnecessary. For your other question -- Oak Barrel maxed is wanted at certain bosses for the Barrel Lure technique. This technique is there the Viper attacks the boss before ANYONE ELSE and then proceeds to stand at a certain spot so the boss will try to attack that Viper and only that Viper, but since there's no hit frames for Barrel, the boss is relieved of the ability to attack. As long as the Viper stays in Oak Barrel, the boss won't even try to attack anyone else. |
