Nexon fails at security

Just recently I got hacked. I dunno how, I didn't get random trades or chat invites. I didn't get dc hacked. I didn't do anything wrong. One day I just logged on to see all my characters on my acc deleted. Nexon took out the bday delete pin so a hacker can delete ur acc just by pic. Nexon fails so much. Junjielun- 169 bishop (apr 25 09 - apr 6 10) arantonghua - 70 Aran (Jan 05 10 - apr 6 10) evantonghua - 4x Evan (apr 1 10 - apr 6 10) I salute my fallen main accounts may u rest in peace.

I assure you, using that word is just as cute now as it was when I first heard it in 1997. I salute your originality. Back on topic, the juvenile poster does have a good point, even if he is completely unable to articulate it in anything approaching maturity or civility. I think it may be better to understand the security limitations of your own behavior/PC before blaming Nexon. It's always possible that Nexon somehow divulged your private information, but I think it's much more likely that hacking victims are the victim of their own greed/poor internet security habits.

Back on topic- I'd love to know the circumstances around what led to this. Did you recently buy mesos or anything like that? DO firewall logs show you sending some interesting information when you enter your password/pic (signs of a trojan). Scans with malware detections turn up anything? Account sharing? I guess I just want to trust that Nexon wouldn't release our personal info that easilly otherwise it seems like any level 200 would have been gone long ago.

Ouch! .. seriously, OUCH! Stop hating that much... he's only flexing his big internet-biceps, not burning your house! I understand the situation here, but your brutal words are way off the line there... Nexon has been making too many mistakes lately, and I started to think that I'm wasting my time in a VERY unprofessional gaming system that is only getting me to a much higher cliff as I continue playing this game. It's not Nexons fault. If there wouldn't be so many greedy and lazy people trying to steal and ruin other peoples work, Nexon wouldn't have resulted in doing the PIC. It's the populations fault.
