Why I made this thread Well, for the past time, I've seen an increasing amount of threads, often asking the same question. This thread is here to answer those questions, and make it more clear to everyone. I'm from -country outside Europe- and I wanna try EMS, how can I do this? Using a proxy. I won't go in to detail, nor will I give any links to proxys, since you are limited to a version for a reason. And what's against Maple's rules, is against Basil rules. Can I recommend it? No. Using a proxy, will make you lag heavily and naturally makes the game less enjoyable. I've just made an account, which server should I join? At this moment, EMS has 2 servers KradiaEMS and DemethosEMS. Kradia is the older of the two, and therefore also more populated. Here's a list of pros and cons of both servers: NOTE: I'm not 100% about the prices thing, so someone please confirm that (I would, but I have my shop up >.<) NOTE 2: Credits to Lolux to clear up the prices, and a some other minor fixes. Kradia: Pros • Easier to find a training partner • Specific items are easier to find • Lower prices Cons • Harder to find an empty map Demethos: Pros • Less people, so less KSing and easier to find an empty map Cons • Harder to find training buddy • Specific items are harder to find • Higher prices I've just joined -server-, and I'm looking for friends I believe this is something for the listings . What's the difference between EMS and GMS? Shortly said: EMS is behind on content (obvious since it's a lot younger) (see below for details)(and credits/thanks to Katsuruka for the detailed info) Also: The Channel/Language system: In total there are fourteen channels in EMS. However, not all of them are accessible at once. Here's how it works: There are 3 Europe channels, which anyone can enter. There are 3 English channels, which can only be entered if your language is set to English There are 2 German channels, which can only be entered if your language is set to German. There are 2 Dutch channels, which can only be entered if your language is set to Dutch. There are 2 French channels, which can only be entered when your language is to French. And finally, there are 2 Spanish channels, which can only be entered when your language is set to Spanish. Changing your language to German, Dutch or Spanish will translate the whole game to the selected language. Setting the language to English (obviously) or French (currently) will make the game remain English The Gachapon/Pigmy system: EMS DOESN'T have Gachapon. Instead, EMS has Pigmy. It works like this: you need at least 1 egg and 1 Incubator. You can use the Incubator to hatch the egg. How to get an egg: you can get an egg by feeding a Pigmy (there's one in most towns) Dry Treat (can be purchased in general shops, for 200 mesos each). The Pigmy will then lay an egg, corresponding with the town it's in (I.E.: a Pigmy from Kerning will give a Kerning Pigmy egg). Eggs can swapped at any Pigmy for an egg of another town. If you have

The thing you said about prices is incorrect. WG's cost 3x as much as in Kradia. But I think it depends on the item. And uh, it's Demethos, not Dementhos. In the dutch language, I think people might confuse it with another word.... Also note expansive -> expensive

If this is meant as an introduction for new players to EMS, it should explain how EMS works differently and what content we have. A rough explanation about past events could be interesting as well.

Some important additions for the differences between EMS and GMS: 1) Language Channel system. There are 3 Europe channels (for speakers of any language), 3 English channels, 2 German channels, 2 Spanish channels, 2 Dutch channels and 2 French channels. If you select German, Spanish or Dutch as your language, both the website (on the game-start screen) and in-game features will be translated into the relevant language. If you select French as your language, only the website will be translated; in-game features are in English. You can change channel as normal between the Europe channels and your own language channels, but to go to a different language channel, you need to change language. To do this, select "Language" from the menu, and you will be prompted to restart the game in order to change your language preference. 2) Pigmy Eggs and Incubators. These are the EMS equivalent to Gachapon. 1 Pigmy Egg + 1 Incubator = 1 Gachapon ticket. To get a Pigmy Egg, feed the Pigmy in your choice of town with a Dry Treat, and it will lay an egg. This can be done up to 5 times per day per Pigmy and per character. Pigmy will also offer to exchange its egg with that of a Pigmy from another town. This means that, for example, Mushroom Shrine Pigmy will exchange your Nautilus and NLC eggs for Mushroom Shrine Eggs. Incubators can be purchased from the Cash Shop for the same price as a Gachapon ticket in GMS. They are needed to "hatch" the Pigmy Eggs - ie obtain an item from them. 3) Cash Item Trade. We do not have MTS but we have a Cash Item Trade system. There are two ways of using this: 1) Buy an item from the Cash Shop and sell it in your store (in the same way as you would sell regular in-game items). 2) Buy an item from the Cash Shop, right click on the user you wish to trade with, and select "Trade Cash Item" from the options list. Please not that not all Cash Items can be sold/traded in this way - for example, 2x Experience/Drop cards cannot be sold or traded. Before purchase, hover over the item you intend to buy and if it can be sold/traded, it will say so in orange at the bottom of the item description. You cannot trade/sell items that have been already used - for example, NX clothing items cannot be sold/traded after being worn, and item bundles can no longer be sold/traded when one item from the bundle has already been used (eg Safety Charms).
