Page FA Yes Or No?

I am at a complete loss as to whether to get fa for my page or not. Originally I wanted to go hybrid and have a bw with fa and sword w/o fa but because of the balance patch ditching threaten seems like a poor choice. If it makes any difference I plan on going sword. I mean I want to have the high 1v1 for killing pianus but then I don't want to lose my mobbing damage. Basil help!

kk heres how it goes if you wanna train faster then go FA less FA decreases dmg during 3rd job using slash blast if you the lower dmg and wanna go kill pianus then go with FA but i sugesst that you go FA less FA is point less once you hit 4th

don't go with FA, and definitely don't go hybrid. FA is totally useless in 4th and it kinda hinders you in 3rd. think about the amount of time you're gonna spend training, and compare it to the minuscule amount of time you're gonna be fighting pianus (the FA and FAless difference in DPM is pretty small at the lower lvs)

[/quote] yes there is the point is to skip this dilemma by having one weapon that has FA and one that doesn't however you need to sacrifice threaten (and nothing else important) to do so. with the changes threaten is going it might not be worth it anymore. going hybrid just to equip two weapons is pointless but not if you get FA on one and no FA on the other

FA is just more of a hassle. Even if you don't play MS for damage it's an involuntary skill. If you could turn it on or use it as a supportive skill that would be interesting but fact is you can't. Eventually it'll just hinder you.

I can't really comment on sword but if you do go BW then FA is pretty useful.

I always hated FA on my WK... Definitely a large reason for my quitting it.

I used BWs with FA for all of 2nd Job then switched to Swords which did not have FA in 3rd. Even though Swords have their own advantages over BWs I could already feel a significance in th ekilling speed of large mobs without FA. I's just more stable damage. On the other hand, it sure does look cool though. Personally I'd recommend not going FA.

From my experiences training as a wk at :Ghost Pirates(71-80), Blue Kents(80-90), Vikerolas(8x-97), Red Wyrens(9x-97), and Blue wyrens(97). I can conclude that FA is negative towards mobbing larger amounts of enemies(which you should do at ghost pirates and blue kents, not so much in the latter ones). However when training at Vikerolas I used PS a lot more, and FA helps out a lot on single enemies. At red wyrens I would only use slash blast when needed to freeze nearby enemies, but use PS to kill due to their larger hp. Blue wyrens I'm not too familiar with yet but I can already tell I'll be using PS a lot more than SB. So in conclusion, FA-less would help out more earlier in your third job as a WK, but an FA build would be suficient later on.
