Maplestory wont work on my windows 7 laptop.

i installed maple the other day and it didnt work. I went onto the website hit the play button and it comes up with this installation thing and it just says there is an error right away. My laptop has windows 7 64 bit. Does anyone know whats wrong? EDIT: apparently maplestory doesnt work on windows 7 64 bit and it only works on windows 7 32 bit. does anyone know how i can run it even though its a 64 bit?

Try running it with compability for Windows XP or Vista.

Tried starting it up without the website then?

I had this issue too To fix it. Click on your start menu and find Nexon>maplestory. Right click maplestory program and go to "open file location". This will bring up a list of things that are part of maple. Find the "gamelauncher" part. Drag that to your desktop to make a shortcut. Use this to get into maplestory since this will make it so that you don't log in from the website anymore. When you click on it, it will suggest you go to website, or start. Click on start. This will take you to the old login screen that you used to see when you logged in :D Happy Mapling!

AFAIK, changing compatibility will cause problems with hackshield. For the website one, change the compatibility of maplestory.exe. If you want to be absolute certain, just change the compatibility for all the executable files.

when i start it normaly not from the website it comes up with this thing that says maple story is not ocmpatible with this version of windows
