| Hello Basil. After playing MapleStory for over 3 years, I've noticed something. If I had never learnt how to merchant, I would've enjoyed MapleStory MUCH MUCH more. In February 2007, I started playing MapleStory. It was all super fun, grinding and doing some PQ's. I made many characters, quitting everytime I got to level 50 since I wanted to try every single class. It was like that for about 8 months. Then one day, while KPQing, I did my first ever scam. That day, after I had lost 800k to a scammer the day before, and I pretended to be a guy's friend and took 10m of his mesos (the good ol' borrowing scam). I looked up some guides to what equips I could buy for my character (I was a bandit then) and in one of the guides, it said that I could buy all my needed equipment from the Free Market. Until that day, I had never been to the Free Market to actually buy things, I had only been there a few times while exploring and meeting up with friends. I went to the Free Market. Channel one, free market one. Back then, the guild/alliance MStores took over Ch1 Fm1. I was looking around, looking at all the exquisite things I could buy for my Bandit and I met the person who changed my whole Mapling experience, the leader of MStores, Roogix. His name was Rob. He was wearing so many good items and was sitting in one of the rarest chairs in the game at that time. I had no clue what to buy and thinking that there was nothing to lose, I traded him and asked him what I should buy. Rob showed me all around Free Market, pointing things out about what I should buy, how I can make my damage much higher, etc. etc. I then asked him how much mesos he had. And he showed me 1.5 BILLION mesos. I remember I nearly fell out of my chair. I asked him how did he make all that mesos? He said to me, "Merchanting." I was like, "How do you do that? o-o" Then he started explaining to me the buy low, sell high rule. I then admitted to him that the mesos I had was from a scam. He didn't seem too angry and he told me to return the mesos to the original owner and then he would help me out more. I found the player I had scammed outside KPQ and gave him his mesos back. He was so happy, and I felt happy too, not feeling guilty anymore. I went back to the Free Market and told Rob. He talked to the guy to check if I had given the mesos back or not. He then said to me that he was happy I gave it back and traded me. I accepted the trade and suddenly, he put up 50 million mesos and pressed ACCEPT. In my bedroom, I was practically squealing with happiness as I pressed accept. He then disappeared, and I typed /find Roogix. He was in cash shop. I didn't know what he was doing then he suddenly came out. He said to me, "Go check your cash shop." I clicked on Cash Shop and saw that I had received a store permit from Roogix. I quickly put it into my cash shop inventory and exited the cash shop. I thanked him like 100 times, following him, spamming him with thank you's. He just laughed and said, "No probl |
