I know a lot of people are going to reply to this saying "why does fame matter? its pointless" your 100% right aside from equips and quests its useless! However as me being a Beginner I choose to do things that make my time in maple, fun? shocker. It seems whenever I go afk in a empty channel I always get randomly defamed. Today I logged on and was sitting by a friend waiting for him to get back from being afk in kerning a Evan comes up to me and is like 'why are you using a zhelm? scarlion is way better in every-way." (Obviously his English was much worse) I told him that obviously a Level 64 Beginner cannot equip a Level 80 item, and he calls me a noob and defames me cause the helm is "Level 12". Tell me your dumbest reason to be famed/defamed. (reason I say defame is cause some people collect defame instead.) *Note the story above isn't my worse, that happened today.

Afked in fm. Came back. -21 fame on my evan. All by people called, "0003525, 0235535" and other random stuff. Was I a test or something? Thank god I bought 20 fame, now I have neg 1.

It was getting towards the end of the day and I was bored, so I decided to fame a random person. I famed an afk high level, and he apparently didn't like it because he tracked me down 15 minutes later and defamed me.

Someone defamed me while I was afk, when i came back their dialogue was still visible. "This will teach you to go afk in the fm". Tried to track them but they had either already signed off or blocked me
