ELC changing in 2012?

Okay so the top 4% of the graduating class in California high schools get guaranteed a spot in at least one UC. But someone told me that this would be changed starting the C/O 2012. are they getting rid of it?

I'm an ELC student right now. I heard that the rate is actually getting increased from the top 4% to the top 9% for the 2012 term, so you future students are lucky .

My counselor said they were changing it to 9% for UC schools. I could pretty much not take another AP class and get into UC Riverside or maybe even UC Irvine with my 4.2 I get from AP Euro. Those are my fall backs though, UCLA and UCBerkeley!

Nice...but getting in the top 9% is still tough as hell in my school. 70% Asians, and an unbelievable amount of them are geniuses. No joke.
