When I got my report card back today, my parents kept yelling at me and "lecturing". They said that they didn't want me to play football anymore. And that is a huge problem because I just got on my schools football team and got my position to play. But then they also said that if I want to continue to play football then I would have to get nothing under a B on my next report card, otherwise I can't play any sports the next year.

Honestly, school and grades are about the amount of effort you put into your work. Some people need less effort to get good grades, but schoolwork isn't really a measure of your intelligence (unless you're taking AP/IB/etc)

if you think you can do it, go for it. if you're sure that you won't be able to manage that, then don't. its better to try than not try at all.

well imo, i dont understand how people say they dont have time for hw when there in sports. i mean practice is til 6? even though , you got like 5 hours to do hw after :P

A B isn't exactly hard to get, especially not in a standard-level education program. 73% isn't anything spectacular.

If you really do like football that much, then you should be willing to earn better grades to play. The good grades will be more beneficial to you in the long run anyway, unless you're set on making a living as an NFL star.

I do sports too, and I'm also having trouble with my grades ~_~ If only there were more hours in the day >_< Making a B isn't hard though I'm managing to maintain B's in my classes except Government ~_~ D? *has a heart attack*

i don't know about you, but football, wrestling, and baseball were a Huge part of my high school life, and i can't imagine my life without it, whether i go professional or not. it's good to keep active and studious while you're a student, it shows productivity. the amount of fun i had in high school can't compare to anything before. but that's just my experience. i'd say it's worth it to go for a 4.0 gpa

We got the same thing, and I enjoy playing football instead of the sports my other friends play. too me grades are no problem but maplestory tries hard to lower my grades so I suggest not playing during the season. Btw are you the jock type cause its funny how you play football and maplestory like meh. XD But I would go all out with football and try your hardest and don't slack. Doing your he will pass you.
