Paladins: Do you have final attack? Is it effective for you? Or would you rather have not put sp into it in the first place?
infferrno : She is talking about preferences. And FA, in my opinion, is extremely annoying at times. The only reason I got it was for the animation.
That's true. My one beef with FA was when luring monsters; it'd sometimes would kill them. However, this is completely irrelevant when you do happen to get it (around 70), since by that time, the monsters you train on don't die so easily. I could care less about the damage once you got a mob, and 1v1, it's lovely, like my frilly pink hair. Still, don't take my word for it. Choose what you like. xD

Should I continue to max FA now, or add sp to another skill? And what skill would that be?

JigglyjelloIf you have FA, then max it. No FA > Maxed FA > crap FA You can start your character over or use sp resets though to go down to no FA. Generally Pages put their extra SP into 1st job skills or BW skills. I had FA on my Paladin it was great, but then again my training spots were dual ghost pirate parties and grim phantom watch or Death Teddies with a priest.

And what skill would that be?
Oh. If you like it so far (although probably don't like the damage right now), max it. Low levels aren't so great. I used myself as a guinea pig to find that out. There's always the option to restart. @bove: It's more like No FA ~ Max FA (depending on job, playstyle, and training locations) > Near-Maxed FA >>> Low-Level FA.
Jigglyjello : If you have FA, then max it. No FA > Maxed FA > crap FA
Exactly, if you're a little bit into it you need to go the whole way. The majority of what you do is training in mobs, FA has been proven to be detrimental to mobbing. Makes it a lot clearer, right?

Crusader-- by the way.
He's a wk, talking about crusaders is irrelevant, thus left out Just because you know a guy who did doesn't mean its a good suggestion to do so. Same with FA, just because you can make it work doesn't mean it is suggested you do. Same reason we tell dks to go hybrid is the same reason why wks should go FA-less, you will train in mobby places.

Well, FA is probably annoying for pages / white knights, because your mobs get nerfed a bit. For fighters / crusaders, it helps build your orbs faster so yea.
I was talking about warriors in general preferring to train at mobby places, since they tend to be better. I also said until 3rd job, meaning while he was a fighter. Similar training to pages, no? I never said it was good, just his path. I also find the gap between Crusher or Fury bigger than that of No FA vs FA. Ah, one tiny point on wording, I also disagree with using we as a collective, since not everyone advises the same way for the same reasons. Feel free to ignore this; I'm just being a nitpick.

Don't SP resets only reset 1 sp? Isn't that crappy for 4.5k nx?

Similar training to pages, no?
Thought you were bringing up a point about FA being useful for crusaders, not that the guy you were referring to was a crusader, so disregard that, I misunderstood
cookie4mesos : I never said it was good, just his path. I also find the gap between Crusher or Fury bigger than that of No FA vs FA.
It is, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't help yourself out when you can. The main reason I didn't like it on my pally is because I never knew when another hit was coming, it messed with my head that way. Slows you down when it hits air also or even when trying to mob from one side of the map to the other, ruins the flow. I have a lot of problems with it besides just the fail dps on mobs.
Koonie : Don't SP resets only reset 1 sp? Isn't that crappy for 4.5k nx?
Yeah, it is. If that's directed at me specifically: I'm doing it that way instead of restarting because I like this character too much. I've found my "home" in it, so to speak. Edit:
Deej : It is, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't help yourself out when you can.
Won't hurt if you like 1v1 or small mobs, and perhaps bossing; it even helps. :P Just pointing out that you can't necessarily assume that going one way or another will definitely be the best for any given individual. Ah, the air attacks. Forgot about that. That and it killing weak monsters when luring are my two problems with it. I didn't mind anything else.

Is there a significant decrease of dpm with maxed FA when attacking mobs than without FA?
