So, recently i Started a Page, I'm about to get to 3rd job, And will be soon getting to 4th Probably by next week or the week after. Question is, since there's barely any Guides out there, After maxing the Obligatory Adv. Charge Blow, All the Guides I've found (3 lol) Say to get Maxed Holy charge, Before even putting any SP into Blast, Since i'll be training at skeles which are Holy weak Anyways, Couldn't I just go with like 11 Holy Charge, then max Blast before continuing holy charge? ( I like big numbers ), And does 1 on Blast out damage Power strike? ( Assume it does. )

wow the entire 3rd job in just 1 week? Do what ever the eff you want in 4th job. getting blast before holy sounds retarded in my opinion. why are you concerned with level 1 blast out damaging powerstrike? you should pay attention to ACB's 350%. and no, blast does not out damage powerstrike at level 1.

u can do the whole 3rd job in 1 week? id like to hear ur plans plz. blast lv 1 doesnt outdamage powerstrike. By the sounds of things it seems u know wat ur doing seeing as u can do the whole 3rd job in a week, so iam thinking ur rational enuf to know that if u plan on training on holy weak skele, stopping holy at 11 and focusing on blast is UBSURD!

well i didnt do holy first and i dont regret it because i rarely train at skeles i train at oblivion 4 there for making holy useless there... i have gone with blast first and it helps out so much while training

Hmm.. Anyone else went ahead with Blast first? I don't see whats so bad about holy at 11, I'm already getting the 150% Ele advantage, And i do like to do other things than just training ._.

Blast has historically been pretty weak and useless early on. Who knows whether an earlier blast build will be better after the balance, but for now it's not.

Er no, you're not getting the 150% elemental advantage until it's maxed. If you'd played as a WK at all you might have noticed that charges don't start out with elemental advantage at 150%, it goes from 106.5% at level 1 to 150% at max (1.5% per level). Since Holy only takes 20 SP I think it starts at 121.5% elemental advantage, but it's definitely not 150%, at level 11 it should be around 136% elemental. edit: Checked my notes, 11 Holy + 30 Blast = 916%, 20 Holy + 21 Blast = 966%. If you want high damage, get Holy maxed first.

Don't get Holy first.....It will be your worst investment EVERRR (aside from the more brainless options like guardian first or Magnet) Just get 1 Rush > max ACB > max HH > max Blast > 15 Stance > 30 Achilles > Finish Stance or do MW > anything else you would want Holy is overrated, only used for Skele/Zakum/Horntail for the most part. Otherwise there's always a better choice.

Holy is obviously needed, training and being able to hit zak for good damage sounds like a good enough reason to me :/

Its not possible to hit 70-120 in a week thats just playing 24/7 which isn't practical, the fastest person i have seen to Paladin was CorsairKen who hit 120 in 2 months Seems like you are leeching but simply lets put it this way ACB becomes your power strike and slashblast until your 150 which is when blast is at a good level. ACB does 350% and PS does 260%(not sure) if i am correct without FA your ACB= PS and SB until blast is at a good level

There's a perfectly informative, and very well written guide in this forum. Read it. :P Most guides you read/see around were made before the HH cool down update/introduction of ToT, which therefore suggest the traditional build of 1 Rush > Max ACB > Max Holy. This is pretty much the road I took, as I maxed Blast right after Holy. The reason why you don't leave leave Holy at 11 in order to max Blast first is because 1) You need max Holy for the 150% elemental advantage and 2) Blast is a 1v1 move, mainly used for bossing, and the best kind of training you're going get is from mobbing, ie, max ACB first. Although I would like to say (for me, anyways) that Blast was an excellent tool to get rid of the stray Skele, to show-off because you'll see ridiculous high numbers, and everyone will stop to watch you for just a little bit, and just generally awesome if you want to boss on things like BF, Crow, Pianus, etc. And those are pretty much the reasons why I did my build of 1 Rush > Max ACB > Max Holy > Max Blast. Well, not that I had such a tough decision (if any) back then to make anyways. xD For those who think Holy is useless, I sincerely disagree. Maybe I'm sorta old school Paladin, but Holy Charge was the best thing that ever happened to me, and I've never looked back. I remember dumping my points into it after my awesome friends and guild helped me with HTPQ, and it gave me such a sense of of achievement, since I could finally really do a lot of things (efficiently or more so) that other classes got to do in 3rd job. I mean, I became a hime killing machine! Plus, without Holy, our damage on neutrals, well... We wouldn't even have a chance, right? :P Anyways, personally, I find the whole debate over Holy vs HH first almost a personal preference with maybe a slight difference in EXP since it takes ten whole levels to max HH (Not that you can't use it when it's not maxed, of course), where you could choose to work on Holy and speed through 12x on Skeles or whatever. ANYWAYS, I've talked too much, excuse my wall of text, I just adore this class, haha. Hopefully you do too.

Ok thanks alot, I already hit White Knight Today Morning and After raising Fire charge slowly, i did notice the elemental damage not being 150% early on. And no i'm not leeching, that's gross and slow compared to 4x grinding ( even vs 1x grinding )

If you're not leeching and you're only using 4x you really can't get to 120 in a week >_> There aren't enough hours in the day. As for me... I maxed Divine Charge at level 130, I'm level 136 now - number of monsters killed with Divine in that time - approximately one hundred. I never use it, shouldn't have got it, if I went back to level 123 I wouldn't put points in it. The only time I've used it was when I wanted to see if it gave me better xp rates at OB4 (it didn't, and it cost twice as much pots)
